Daymond John is an entrepreneur in every sense of the word, having come a long way from taking out
a $100,000 mortgage against his mother’s house and moving his operation into the basement.
John is a pioneer in the fashion industry with over $6 billion in sales of his much-celebrated global lifestyle brand, FUBU.

The Business Opportunity Fair is the largest of its
kind in the area and brings together corporations and
certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) to
facilitate procurement and business opportunities for
Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American businesses.
Workshops, matchmaker sessions, networking events
and receptions are among the activities that take place
and are in addition to the trade show that feature booths
staffed by corporate procurement representatives and
minority businesses.
The Annual Business on the Green is a great opportunity
for networking and fun! Held within the service area each
year, this signature event brings out golf enthusiasts and
is great for building meaningful business relationships.

corporations and MBEs from all over the Mid-States
MSDC area.

Organized by the Minority Business Enterprise Input
Committee, the 2015 Industry Groups will focus on
energy and healthcare. This is an opportunity for MBEs
to hear from subject matter experts from corporations
in the energy and healthcare industries as they discuss
best practices and trends as well as learn how to grow
sustainable business opportunities.
Advanced Management Education
Industry Scholarship
This custom executive education program was created
by the National Minority Supplier Development Council
(NMSDC) in partnership with the Kellogg School of
Management at Northwestern University to provide
certified, established, expansion-oriented MBEs with
the tools and skills needed to achieve and sustain
accelerated growth. NMSDC corporate members
recommend high-potential MBEs for participation in the
four-day program, held each year in June.

Houston Minority Supplier Development Council, the
Mid-States MSDC introduced the MBE CEO Academy
in late 2012. The Academy is a program designed to
empower and position MBE CEOs who have already
grown their businesses to multi-million dollar enterprises
to take their companies to the next level and provides
them with an opportunity to dialogue with some of our
region’s top corporate CEOs.
"En Contexto", hosted by award winning journalist Luis
Navarro, is a local public affairs TV show with interviews
and information relevant to the Hispanic community in
the state of Indiana.
