Mechanism
Pepper mechanism
The pepper mechanism is equipped with a helix-shaped double
row of teeth that guide and hold the peppercorns for a perfect
grind. It has a patented treatment that protects the steel from
corrosion while maintaining its sharpness and wear resistance.
Which pepper to use?
To get the best out of your Peugeot pepper grinding mechanism,
we recommend you to use peppercorns with a diameter of
5 mm (¼”) or less.
Black, white and dry green peppercorns can be ground in
Peugeot pepper mills. The pink berries can be ground only if in
a blend (max 15% pink) with one of these other peppercorns.
Dried coriander is also suitable for the pepper mechanism.
Salt mechanism
The Peugeot salt mechanism is designed to grind cooking salt.
It is made of stainless steel and is not sensitive to salt corrosion.
Which salt to use?
To get the best out of your Peugeot salt grinding mechanism,
you should use:
- salt with a diameter of 4 mm (3/16”).
- dry coarse salt: dry sea salt or rock salt.
Wet sea salt mechanism
A specially designed mill for wet sea salt. The natural consistency
and moisture content do not allow the use of an ordinary salt mill.
A spiral guides the salt, ensuring that it does not stick together.
Do not attempt to grind very wet sea salt. If it is too wet, then leave
it out in the air to dry for 24-48 hours before filling the grinder.
Chili pepper mechanism
The chili pepper mechanism is a Peugeot exclusive product. This
patented model has a pre-cutting system and a mechanism that
grinds dry chili pepper. Like the pepper grinder it has a patented
treatment that protects the steel from corrosion while maintaining
its sharpness and wear resistance.
Nutmeg mechanism
The Peugeot nutmeg mill is equipped with a double stainless steel
blade/grater and a strong claw which enables the nutmeg to be
very finely ground. Just turn the handle to release all the nutmeg
flavours, without any risk to your fingers.

Decanter for mature red wines
A mature wine is fragile; its aromas have
reached their peak. A decanter with a long,
narrow neck and slightly pot-bellied base
minimises the exchange of air, preserving the
wine’s bouquet while enhancing its colour.
To reveal the subtle, fleeting aromas of a white
wine, a mature wine decanter will thus be used
to preserve it while revealing the nuances of
colour.
