“My new body of work called “Entramados” came to life the moment I stood in front of Gustav
Klimtś portrait of Adele in exhibition at the Neue Galerie in New York. Though an incomparable
experience for me, it was not just the portrait itself that touched me, but the surrounding environment that helped trigger thoughts of free association.
The elusive web of golden reflections in continuous back and forth movement pushed me
towards Roberto Mattaś deep spatiality, Annie Albers´ fabric weaves, Constantinoplaś art, and
why not also say the fine threads of our neural connections.
I started to dream about interconnected lines and timeless spaces in continuous expansion,
like the ones found in our own palms. Networks within networks all in perfect relationship with
each other; color within the light; sprout and regrowth; and the ambition for infinity hampered
only by my own human limitations.”
