Minutes of Meeting on Prequalification of Contractors
1.
Introduction
The prequalification notice for the works appeared in the Newspapers of Daily Kawish, Daily
Express, and Daily Dawn of dated 11-02-2016. The Contractors who were registered with
Pakistan Engineering Council in Category C-3 (Up to Rs.400 M) were eligible to purchase the
documents for prequalification from the office of Project Director, Chotiari Reservoir Project
Circle, Sanghar, Irrigation Department, Government of Sindh on payment of Rs. 3,000/- (nonrefundable). In reply to the advertisement in the press, the department received Forty Three
(43) applications for prequalification as under:

A committee was formed through letter nr. CEI/DEV-IINVB/274, dated 26-12-2016 dated
(Annexure-1) to open / Evaluation / Scrutinize the Prequalification Docu ents of the
Contractors.
The Prequalification Documents were opened on 27-02-2016.
2.
Evaluation for Prequalification
Based on the Evaluation Criteria given in the document issued to the c•ntractors for
Prequalification to bid for the work, the committee has carried out necessary eval ation.
The supporting document attached the by the contractors were scrutinized on- by one and
processed in accordance with the Evaluation Criteria for obtaining points scored by each of the
Contractor.
The Evaluation Criteria comprises mandatory requirements and five sections of otal 100 marks
with points distribution as given below:

The aggregate qualifying score was 60%, but it was mandatory that the Co tractor should
obtain at least 40% score in each of the above mentioned five sections. T summary of
comparative score is shown in Annexure II, and detailed comparison for above listed items in
separate sheet.
The mandatory requirement for PEC registration in category C-3 (Up to Rs.400
was checked
and was found confirming with the submitted documents.

Conclusion
In accordance with evaluation criteria, out of 43 contractors who have s bmitted their
documents, 23 Contractors have been prequalified as under:
