Sandy Hanebrink, OTR/L, is executive director at
Touch the Future, Inc.
Touch the Future, Inc. is a nationally benchmarked,
501(c)3 nonprofit organization headquartered in
Anderson, S.C., with satellites in South Carolina,
Georgia and growing. Touch the Future serves
individuals who are disabled, seniors, veterans or
those from disadvantaged communities by
providing computers, durable medical equipment,
assistive technology, training, and specialized
services to meet individual needs. Donated
technology is accepted, sanitized and refurbished
for reuse while also providing jobs skills training
for individuals with disabilities. Touch the Future
supports evergreen policies by recycling any
technology that cannot be refurbished for reuse.
Touch the Future is headquarters for BlueAssist USA
and Cloudina; an ATIA National Alliance partner
and member; G3ict AT Leadership Network
Member and a United Way funded partner.

Sandy consults with universities, professional
organizations, healthcare providers, and public
and private organizations on ADA compliance and
accessibility. She has presented and published at
local to international levels and received many
honors for her work. Sandy has graciously agreed
to provide a three-hour workshop on Assistive
Technology: A Look at New Social Innovations, the
Latest and Greatest, What’s Free, and AnimalAssisted Therapy Opportunities, as well as a
three-hour workshop on ADA and Healthcare:
Education through Employment and Practice.
