PERSONAL STATEMENT
On a personal level, I am currently studying a Bachelor of Biological Science
at University after completing 13 years at Rostrevor College. I am studying in
the areas of physical health which developed from my interest in maintaining
a healthy and fit body. I am a keen swimmer and have recently completed my
full lifeguard certificate. In my aim to stay in top shape physically and
mentally, I follow a regular exercise plan including cycling and gym work and
try to follow the dietary & race preparation program I was taught at the AIS
during my visits. I am very focused on my racing career and see it as a
lifestyle not just a weekend sport. My other interests included music, I have
played saxophone for 8 years and play second lead in the school jazz band.
I travel to all race meets with my family, my father, mother and brother are
all involved. We travel well in the car and consider it good family time for us.
We formed the Jon Daniels Racing Team to lift our media presence and
continue this by sending out race reports after each round.
