through a moistened filter pad.

filter pad is a high tech Chillcel® ‘honeycomb’ design that provides maximum
surface area and optimizes cooling
performance. Air is forced to come in
contact with evaporating water which
provides maximum cooling effect.

and use a very ineffective “towel” system with up to 20 times less surface
area than Convair Chillcel®.
Air is able to bypass the filter media
and not receive any cooling effect

with minimum noise. The fan and
Chillcel® design ensures that air is drawn
from the rear of the unit and forced to
pass through the saturated filter pad.
Most imported units have a barrel fan
design that tends to draw air from
the front grill and re-circulate this air
without forcing the air to pass through
the filter media. If air does not pass
through filter media it will not deliver
a cooling effect.

clog and delivers a steady, even water

distribution system where water is
pumped into a well at the top of the

blocked by sediment which lead to
sections of the pad drying out.
