Ancient Temples
1. Wat Mahathat
Phra Prang Wat Mahathat
established during the early
Ayutthaya period. The temple
is Influenced by Khmer style
architecture. There are many
Buddha relics located at the
base of Phra Prang temple.
5. Wat Mongkhon Bophit
Another temple of which
tourists come here to visit
and to worship is "Luang Pho
Mongkolbophit". The front
area of the temple is full of
shops selling local products
for almost all types, such as
carp, wicker, rattan, knife
woods, preserves and sweets.
This place is ideal for travelers
who want to enjoy the beauty
of the temple and buy
souvenirs at the same time.
2. Wat Phu Khao Thong
During that period, Burengnong

8. Wat Niwet Thammaprawat
It was built by imitating Western
style Church and was served as
a royal temple alongside Bang
Pa In Palace. The architecture of
the temple is based on the
concept of Gothic. The chapel
has a spire and glass walls which
let the light shine through.
The chapel is also the enshrined
location of the Buddha statue
called 'Phra Buddha Narumon
Dhammawophas' found in
meditation posture sitting in
a booth "Ruean Kaew".
9. Wat Lokkayasutharam
Inside the temple, there is the
statue of the reclining Buddha
with 42 meters long and 8 meters
high. His face turned to the north.
His head is supported by lotus.
His feet overlap each other at right
angles.

1. Ancient Palace or the Imperial Palace
The ancient palace is located to the north of Wat Phra Sri Sanphet,
