In accordance with our current by-laws, members must be
notified at least ten (10) days in advance of any changes to the by
-laws. After several months of review and revision, Diana Lambeth, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, sent out
the final draft revisions of our by-laws on June 16, 2015 and announced that there will be a special meeting of the Chamber
members on July 16, 2015 at 5:30 pm to vote on these changes.
We hope you will attend this important meeting and support
the Chamber as it strives to meet the needs of our community.
We are currently having our annual membership drive. If you
haven’t received your invoice or you would like to join the
Chamber, please call the Chamber at 943-3770. Additional contributions are always welcome.
New U.S. Flag Presented to the Town of Belhaven
Recently, the Honorable Frank Iler, N.C. House of Representatives, District #17, attended our Belhaven Buccaneer Festival and
Pirates on the Pungo Regatta. He was very impressed by the
event and especially the volunteers that made it happen. As a
means of showing his thanks, he sent a letter to Councilman Vic
Cox and a new U.S. flag to replace the Town’s tattered one (see
page 4).
Diana Lambeth had the privilege of presenting the new flag to the
Mayor Pro-Tem Greg Satterthwaite at the June 8th Town Council
meeting. The POTP/BBF volunteers were also recognized at the
meeting.
