It’s 1991. Katlin Hillmacher, the human black hole and
ex-Olympian, struggles with life after the good times.
Julie Martin is a good-hearted mortgage loan officer who
loves Katlin, while Pete Warner tells the whole sordid
disaster tale from a front-row seat.
Pookoo is D.L. Shiloh’s first novel. Shiloh has been an educator, a sports editor,
a custodian, and a restaurant mascot. Shiloh ran track, and won silver medals in
discus and shot put at the 2000 Prairie State Games, and is a member of the Roscoe
Rush Semi-Pro football Hall of Fame. He is currently at work on a new novel about
mid-life crisis in the Chicago suburbs titled The Pilgrim Commuter.
He lives in Illinois with his family.
