Julie Martin is a good-hearted mortgage loan officer who loves Katlin, while Pete Warner tells the whole sordid disaster tale from a front-row seat. Pookoo is D.L. Shiloh’s first novel. Shiloh has been an educator, a sports editor, a custodian, and a restaurant mascot. Shiloh ran track, and won silver medals in discus and shot put at the 2000 Prairie State Games, and is a member of the Roscoe Rush Semi-Pro football Hall of Fame. He is currently at work on a new novel about mid-life crisis in the Chicago suburbs titled The Pilgrim Commuter.
