Where will the TV be positioned?
Ask customers their desired TV location, the size of the room and where the TV will be in relation to viewers, as well as light reflection from
windows and if multiple viewing angle sare desired. Wall mounts provide multiple options for movement and flexibility in positioning. Mounting a

VESA is a standard that
dictates the exact placement of the holes on the back of the
TV that the mount attaches to. Typically, LCD flat-panel TVs follow
VESA standards. There are several
sizes of TVs and mounts within the
VESA standards (75mm x 75mm; 100
mm x100mm; etc.). When purchasing
a TV that follows VESA guidelines, it
is important to choose a mount that
uses the same VESA standard as
the TV.

RANDOM
The second concept is not really a “standard” at all. Rather, TV manufacturers
who do not follow the VESA standards
place their mounting holes on the back of
their TV in non-conforming places. For
these TVs, Sanus makes “universal”
mounts.

The new LR1A recessed box allows a TV to be flush to the wall, so it hangs like a picture.
1. Cut a hole in the sheetrock between 16" center studs and set the LR1A inside.*
2. The finger-adjustable Quick Shims™ allow you to easily position and
level the box and then secure it in place using provided hardware.
3. There are cutouts for signal and power cables on top and bottom, plus
it’s available in silver, black or paintable white to match any décor.
4. Once the LR1A is in place, choose a full-motion mount
(model LRF118, VM400, or MF215) that fits your TV.
* Safety note: Before cutting, ensure electrical wires
or piping does not run within desired location

Mounting and positioning the speakers correctly can be more important to sound quality than choosing components.
For optimal sound, the tweeter should be at ear level. For most installations, the correct height is around 40 inches
(give or take 5 inches). Key factors that affect this are the height of the listener and the height of the listener’s chair.
