Welcome to the 10th Annual Green Gala!
The Novi Educational Foundation is celebrating 30 years of “making a difference” in the education
of Novi children.
The Novi Educational Foundation (NEF) is a committed partner with the Novi Community School
District. The NEF supports the district’s emphasis on Social Justice as a pillar of our students’
development. We begin in Kindergarten with The Leader in Me program. Novi is the only school
district in the country with 100% of our elementary students developing a culture of leadership
based on The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. The Leader in Me is not an
event and it’s not a curriculum. It is an integrated approach to leadership development that ensures
the district fulfill its mission statement: In partnership with parents and community, the mission of the
NCSD is to ensure that all students develop the knowledge, skills and character necessary to achieve
their highest potential and to be productive members of an ever changing society.
At Novi Middle School, the NEF has funded training and development of Restorative Practices,
fostering healthy relationships and promoting positive discipline. This program builds upon The
Leader in Me and promotes the importance of a positive, healthy school climate allowing students
to learn from their mistakes and find their voices. Each week our students engage in activities
and dialogue designed to promote personal growth and the development and a healthy school
environment.
At Novi High School, the NEF has partnered with Playworks and HAVEN to further our student’s
ability to find their voices and encourage others to find theirs. These programs offer real life advice
regarding situations they may encounter as they prepare for their futures. Students continue to learn
how to communicate effectively and make a difference in the lives of others.
The Novi Educational Foundation is excited about our expanded reach touching the lives of all
students K-12. Our organization is grateful for the ongoing financial support from our community
and enjoys a positive, collaborative partnership with the administration of the Novi Community
Schools. With your support we will continue to provide leading edge, educational enhancements.

Silent Auction Rules
- All sales are final. There are no refunds or change of conditions of sale. Everything will be sold “as
is.”
- Please read any specifications and limitations carefully.
- By purchasing an item, the buyer waives any claims for liability against the Novi Educational
Foundation or the donor of the property that may result from the utilization of property or
services sold.
- All auction items must be paid in full by check, cash or credit.
- Any values indicated are estimates only and are not certified by the Novi Educational Foundation.
- The items are separated into three sections (Green, White and Black). Each section has its own
closing time indicated in the Evening’s Schedule.
Each auction item has a corresponding bid sheet which shows the item, opening bid and minimum
raise. Make your bid by printing your auction number and bid amount on the next available blank line
on the bid sheet. Bids will be disqualified if the increase from the last bid is less than the required
minimum raise indicated. All bid sheets will be picked up promptly at the designated closing time. The
last and highest bid at closing time for that section wins the item.
