Bring your images much closer and feel like you are right
in the action with a zoom lens. Getting a zoom of 200mm or
greater will get up close. Using the image stabilizer setting
on your lens helps to ensure your pictures don’t become
blurry as you magnify your image.

Get a WideR Perspective
Taking pictures from a wide perspective or wide angle is very popular for
“landscape” pictures. This will make you feel like you were there and makes
your pictures “pop”. A tip when taking this type of picture is to get close to
your subject, the perspective of these lenses is wide so you will likely not
have to back-up from your image, if you stand too far back and use a wide
angle lens your subject will get lost in the shot. By standing a little closer
while using your wide angle lens, you will still have a nice wide shot but your
image will have a defined subject that pops out.

Why use a flash?
A speedlite or flash is to ensure you have consistent lighting when taking pictures close up (like portraits) or in dim lit lighting. Sometimes by using a flash you can
ensure that inconsistencies of the lighting can be removed, making your lighting much more uniform, usually giving a much better result.
When shooting under tungsten or fluorescent lighting, using a flash ensures that you don’t see the “green” or “yellow” tones in your photo. Next time when taking a
picture of the family and some of the faces are dark (because of shading or shadows) try using your flash, you may be pleasantly surprised!!!
If you are finding the flash is too strong, meaning you are whiting out your subject, there are a few things you can do to lower the intensity or the power of the flash.
Most flashes will have a setting which will allow you to control the intensity of the flash, this is a setting usually directly on the flash. Another option is to angle or
bounce the flash, as this also reduces the intensity of a direct flash. Lastly you can attach light modifiers to the flash which diffuse the light giving a softer effect.

Why do I need IS (image stabilization) in binoculars???
An image stabilizer, as most people are familiar with, is designed to correct shaking or movement. When we are
using a binocular or a telephoto lens, shaking is much more evident. As such using a stabilizer helps to ensure
that the image appears stable and stationary. This allows the user to have less eye strain and irritation from long
term viewing using a pair of binoculars. Image stabilization is also very effective in lower light conditions and in
