The couple’s matching platinum eternity bands were from classic creations. The diamond eternity band was designed by Gregory Aron from knightsbridge. Her crystal headband was from laura jayne bridal design. Jeffrey’s formal wear was designed by Ermenegildo Zegna and he wore Prada shoes. 112 WEDLUXE | Toronto Edition S amantha kimel and jeffrey gottesman first met in university , but it wasn’t until years later when they were reacquainted at a mutual friend ’ s dinner party , ( and after a “ long chase ,”) that samantha agreed to go out with Jeffrey. Their engagement took place on what, at first, seemed to be a regular night at home as the couple got ready to stay in and enjoy a movie together. Much to Samantha’s surprise, instead of any old blockbuster, a proposal video featuring Jeffrey singing an original song came on the screen! Needless to say, after such a romantic gesture, Samantha said “yes!” Samantha and Jeffrey hired Naomi Serkin of naomi serkin & associates to provide full-service planning and design assistance for their September 6, 2015 wedding. The ceremony took place at Beth Sholom Synagogue, where the couple recited their vows under a magnificent chuppah draped by eventure custom environments and event draping and designed by frank rea event design - forget me not flowers oakville. Samantha’s family had worked with Frank Rea on other family events over the years, including her bat mitzvah, so she naturally felt confident in his ability. Frank Rea and Naomi Serkin worked in harmony on the event design, conceptual planning, decor rental selection and coordination for the entire event. The cocktail tent, with a carpet from robinson show services, was beautifully draped in grey, sheer fabric provided by eventure custom environments and event draping. The lounge area’s furniture and modern, white chandeliers were provided by contemporary furniture rentals inc. In addition to the cocktail and main reception tent, a third tent encompassed the existing gazebo on the property and gave guests the opportunity to relax at the end of the night and enjoy the late summer evening. Guests walked through a tree-lined walkway, with hundreds of candles strung from the branches. BACKYARD OASIS Following cocktails, guests were escorted along a carpeted walkway to the main tent where dinner was being served. The spectacular glass wall tent took event rental group several weeks to erect. It was constructed over a sunken tennis court with 30-ft of scaffolding supporting the complex structure. A breathtaking custom printed fabric ceiling designed by Frank Rea and produced by dance floor décor was installed by eventure custom environments and event draping. Naomi and Frank had hired a photographer in San Francisco to shoot the ceiling of the Palace Hotel, the design of which was then recreated on fabric to echo the look of a traditional, glass conservatory. Custom lucite tables from frank rea event design - forget me not flowers oakville were decorated with four varieties of low centrepieces composed of elegant white roses, with each vase featuring a different type of rose. Crystal candleholders and candelabras illuminated each table and provided additional sparkle. The 18-ft long head table featured a lush hedge detail designed by frank rea event design - forget me not flowers oakville. / RE SOURCE to see more, visit WEDLUXE.COM END NOTES Guests dined on a meal catered by the park hyatt and gorman mcilveen associates that had been carefully selected by the couple. “We worked closely with Iain McIlveen of Gorman McIlveen to create a menu that reflected our tastes and love of entertaining and food,” says Samantha. “He never ceases to come up with clever and unique menus that are inspiring and delicious.” With the collective and a DJ from bellosound offering up their music stylings, the celebration continued on the dance floor all night long.
