These people are often unspoken heroes. Their reward comes from knowing they’ve offered compassion, support and kindness to children in their home. These people are foster parents. Being a foster parent means providing a substitute family environment for children who, for various reasons, are unable to remain in their homes. The purpose of foster family care is to provide children with experiences which are essential to their constructive growth and development when their own parents are unable to provide this. Can you open your heart and home to a child in need? What does it take to become a foster parent? Candidates must be over 21 years, have a stable home envi- ronment, room for a child, have a flexible schedule and be financially self-sufficient. They can be single or married, working or stay at home parents. No parenting experience is required. Support, reimbursement and training are provided. The next pre-service session is starting soon, can we reserve you a spot? As a foster parent you can be a mentor to a teenager, help a younger child develop healthy positive Transfer Your Memories to DVD! Augie D. That probably means your vehicle’s coolant Free Tax return When used to purchase a vehicle Bring your last paycheck or W2! File your taxes with us now and drive home with the car you just purchased using all or a portion of your tax return. We will finance the balance. Re-Establish Your Credit! 443 Auto Sales is too hot to cool your engine. • Many brake pads have wear indicators. If your vehicle has them, they will emit loud squeals when they detect wear. • It’s a good idea to write down your vehicle’s symptoms before visiting a repair shop, including noises-and whether these occur when the engine is hot or cold. • Air bags work with your safety belts, not as a replacement for them. • Children under 13 should ride properly secured in the rear seat. • Always keep at least a half tank of gas in your vehicle to avoid potential damage to your fuel filter or fuel line. • Check your tire pressure frequently for safety and fuel economy. Hot and cold outside temperatures affect the pressure in your tires. • Avoid oil and fuel additives unless recommended by your ser-vice consultant. • Don’t use dish detergent to wash your car; it can hurt clearcoat finishes.
