Located in Golden, British Columbia, Kicking Horse
Mountain Resort is the West Kootenay’s premier mountain
wedding destination! Home to the highest elevated dining
experience in Canada at 7, 700 feet, the Eagle’s Eye
Restaurant, Kicking Horse offers a stunning backdrop and
that intimate rustic feel you are looking for to exchange your
vows and start your life together.
Here at Kicking Horse, you and your guests will never run out
of things to do and new places to explore! In the summer, we
offer Gondola-assisted hiking and sightseeing, Grizzly Bear
refuge tours, mountain biking and exquisite on-mountain
dining. If it is a winter wedding you have always dreamed of,
make sure to pack your skis and discover some of the deep
Champagne Powder that Kicking Horse is known for! There
are activities for all ages and all abilities: snowshoeing, crosscountry skiing, ice skating, tubing, Gondola sightseeing and
more!
Take a ride up the Catamount Chair to the World’s largest enclosed and
protected Grizzly Bear habitat and learn all about Boo, our resident Grizzly,
from our Bear Refuge guides.
Just 2.5 hours west of Calgary, Kicking Horse Mountain
Resort will provide you with a spectacular and breathtaking
setting for your wedding celebration. The utmost care and
service will be ensured, allowing you and your guests the
opportunity to relax and indulge in your surroundings.

The Eagle’s Eye Terrace
Your Ceremony
Say your ‘I do’s’ on the top of the world overlooking the awe-inspiring ridgelines of the Purcell, Selkirk and Rocky Mountains. Ride the Golden Eagle Express Gondola to 7, 700 feet and tie the knot steps away from the Eagle’s Eye Restaurant,
the highest elevated dining experience in Canada. Private use of the terrace will be provided for one hour for all
ceremonies. When you book the Eagle’s Eye Ceremony & Reception package, you will have use of the terrace for the
entirety of your wedding celebration.
Seating & Decorations
Seating for up to 200 guests will be provided and set up by the resort staff. All other decorations and accent pieces will be
the responsibility of the client to set up.

Mountain weather is unpredictable and can change drastically. In the case of inclement weather, your ceremony may be
moved indoors to the Eagle’s Eye Restaurant if it is closed to the public at this time. If the restaurant is open, we will make
every attempt to accommodate the situation by delaying the service as long as possible. If delaying is not an option, an
alternative venue may be provided.

Your Reception
Located at 7, 700 feet, the Eagle’s Eye embodies the true feeling of a romantic mountain destination wedding.
Surrounded by 360 degree views of the soaring mountain-tops, the floor-to-ceiling windows provide a dramatic background
for your wedding reception.
The restaurant can accommodate 116 for a seated reception and up to 150 for a cocktail-style reception.
Table configuration, white linens, napkins and dinnerware will be supplied and set up by resort staff. All other decorations
and accent pieces will be the responsibility of the client to set up.

The Whitetooth Grill
Your Reception
Located at the base of the mountain, the Whitetooth Grill
encapsulates the rustic mountain feel you have dreamed of
for your wedding day. Dance the night away in this gorgeous
timber-frame building with an adjoining outdoor patio
allowing your guests to enjoy the fresh mountain air.
The Whitetooth Grill can accommodate for up to 180
seated guests utilizing both the main floor, and the two
upper balconies. 100 guests can be seated comfortably on
the main floor. A cocktail-style reception can accommodate
up to 200 guests. Table configuration, white linens, napkins
and dinnerware will be supplied and set up by resort staff.
All other decorations and accent pieces will be the
responsibility of the client to set up.

The Eagle’s Eye Suites
Spend your wedding night on top of the world!
At 7,700 feet above sea level, perched high on a rugged summit overlooking the Columbia Valley, the Rocky, Purcell & Selkirk
Mountains, sits the Eagle’s Eye Restaurant. Nestled within the timber, rock and glass structure are the Eagle’s Eye Suites. Tastefully
appointed with a Rocky Mountain flare, these exclusive suites offer a sanctum of luxury and solitude.
Available to rent for the day, the Eagle’s Eye Suites give you the space to relax and indulge in your special day. Check-in is available
at 11.30 am, offering a sanctuary for you and your wedding party to get ready before your ceremony, and just enjoy the day! Day use
of one suite is included with the Eagle’s Eye Ceremony & Reception package giving you access until the end of your
reception at 12.45 am. There will be no need to worry about parents with little ones having to leave the reception early, as the suite
is a great place for kids to sleep off all of the excitement!
There is no place more romantic and intimate to spend your wedding night than at the top of a mountain! Overnight stays are
available at the cost of $1000/night including a private butler, breakfast and first tracks down the hill for those winter weddings!

HELPFUL HINTS

Mountain weather is unpredictable and can change drastically. It is recommended to have proper footwear
and attire in the event of inclement weather.

Wedding ceremonies are planned to be held on the outdoor Eagle’s Eye Terrace. In the case of inclement
weather, your ceremony may be moved indoors if the Eagle’s Eye Restaurant is closed to public during the
time of your ceremony. If the restaurant is open to the public during your ceremony, we will make every
attempt to accommodate the situation by delaying the service for as long as possible. If delaying is not an
option, an alternative venue may be provided.

Your Kicking Horse Mountain Resort Sales Representative will assist with menu and wine selection. The
Bride and Groom are responsible for booking music, photographers, florists, etc.

No outside food is permitted at the
Eagle’s Eye Restaurant or Whitetooth
Grill. All enquiries regarding wedding
cakes and food should be directed to the
Sales Contact.

It is the responsibility of the Bride and
Groom to arrange transportation of all
wedding items, decorations, flowers, etc.
to the Eagle’s Eye Restaurant or Whitetooth Grill. The delivery of wedding
items and supplier venue access must be
pre-arranged with your Sales Representative

Access to the venue with an Eagle’s Eye
Exclusive use package is 3.30 pm on the
day of your event for both Winter &
Summer Weddings. For Whitetooth
Grill Reception packages, access to the
venue is 12.00 pm on the day of your
event in the Summer and 3.30 pm in the
Winter. If you require additional set-up
time, please communicate with your
Sales Representative and every effort will
be made to accommodate.

Both The Eagle’s Eye Restaurant and the
Whitetooth Grill will be adequately set
with tables, chairs, linens (white) and full
dinner settings. The restaurant locations
are unique and it is recommended that
simple and natural decorations be used
to enhance the atmosphere.

OTHER
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is not responsible for damages to or loss of any articles left on site by the
customer or their guests, prior to, during, or following any function.
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort does not allow the affixing of anything to the walls, floors or ceilings of the
rented venues with nails, staples, tape or any other substance.
A mountain top event will continue, rain or shine. The Owner will not accept any cancellation due to weather,
unless the weather is a concern for lift operation. The Owner reserves the right to cancel a group function due to
lightning or lift operation concerns if guest safety is at risk. Please note that lightning and lift problems are both
rare occurrences. If the Owner is not able to eliminate such problems by the event start time, every effort will be
made to provide an alternate venue at the Resort. If an alternate venue at the Resort is not provided, the Owner
will refund all payments made by the Client paid to date.
The client will be held responsible for any damage to the building, equipment, decorations or fixtures belonging
to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Any damages will be billed to the client at the replacement costs.
We request that no confetti/rice/flower petals, etc. be used on our premises.
Audio Visual and P.A. Systems are $150.00 + applicable taxes to rent and must be confirmed with the Kicking
Horse Mountain Resort 30 days prior to the date of the function. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort will assume
no responsibility to any equipment either rented or provided by the client.

ON-MOUNTAIN ACCOMMODATIONS
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort offers a variety of accommodation types ranging from Suites, Condos, Lodges,
Townhomes and Private Chalets. Of which provide quick and easy access to the mountain, with properties ranging from a 5 minute walk to mere seconds. Please note that Kicking Horse does not manage or operate any lodging, the following accommodations have been listed below as a quick reference. For rates and further information please contact the appropriate property. Not sure where to stay, we would be more than happy to assess the
group needs and lead you in the right direction.
Whispering Pines
These luxurious town homes provide guests easy ski in/ski out access while being privately tucked away from the
base area hustle and bustle. The units are quiet, comfortable and cozy and offer stunning views across the
Columbia Valley to the Rocky Mountains and beyond. Each Whispering Pines unit has three bedrooms varying
in size, floor plan, and bedding configuration. Each home is privately owned and feature spacious living areas
with cozy rock and timber accented fireplaces, well equipped kitchens (including dishwashers), laundry facilities,
satellite TV, VCR and/or DVD, stereo/CD player, a hot tub and BBQ.
Mountaineer Lodge & Glacier Lodge
At the foot of the slopes, just meters from the Golden Eagle
Express Gondola, Glacier Lodge is truly at the heart of
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. One, two, and three bedroom furnished residences, ranging from 650 to 1,480 square
feet, are available year round. Storage is offered for the "toys"
essential to a year round recreation destination. Guests are
able to have full access to a shared hot tub, steam room and
exercise room.
Palliser Lodge
Nestled in the woods, just 300 meters from the heart of the
plaza stands the Palliser Lodge. The lodge features breathe tak
ing views of the Rocky Mountains and slope side activities and
boasts first class amenities such as a large outdoor sunken hot
pool and a grand lobby featuring a stunning floor to ceiling
natural stone fireplace.
Winston Lodge
A traditionally built, rustic, wood and stone Boutique Mountain Lodge & Spa with 11 luxurious suites. Located
only 150m from the Gondola. A perfect, beautifully set location for a variety of local activities throughout the
year. All suites are lavishly appointed with traditional, hand-crafted solid wood furniture, sumptuous feather
down beds, relaxing jetted baths or walk-in showers, private balconies with stunning mountain views.

Copper Horse Lodge
A small boutique mountain lodge just 100 paces from the Golden Eagle Express
gondola. Offers 10 stylish modern accommodations and
contemporary dining in a spectacular mountain setting. Winner of the
Ski Canada Magazine “Best New Lodge” award 2007.
Vagabond Lodge
Vagabond Lodge has the warmth and character of a Rocky Mountain
Lodge, along with the charm and service of a fine European pension.
A number of lounge areas dominate the main floor where guests can
sit around the fireplaces, or visit and play cards or board games.
Estate Homes
Spectacular, large custom homes just steps from the Gondola at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort! Treat yourself
to these custom designed, spacious mountain homes with exclusive views, and relax in comfort and style. Perfect
for larger groups, functions and families which feature - a timber frame great rooms, numerous bedrooms &
