About the ISIC Association
The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is administered by the ISIC
Association, an international not-for-profit association dedicated to furthering
travel opportunities for students. The ISIC Association works through the
International Student Travel Confederation (ISTC), an international not-for-profit
organization whose members collectively negotiate with airlines, governments
and providers of goods and services for the benefit of the worldwide student
community.
ISIC endorsed by UNESCO & Tourism Malaysia
Since 1967, the ISTC has maintained a relationship with UNESCO, the United
Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, to promote student
travel and international understanding, UNESCO officially endorses and supports
the ISIC and recognizes it as the unique document for student mobility.
The ISIC is also endorsed by Tourism Malaysia
Validity
In Malaysia, effective 18 August 2016, we will issue ISICs
with 12 months validity from date of issue. We no longer
offer the Northern & Southern Hemisphere validities. This is
being implemented from 18 Aug 2016 and it will take time to
convert our issuing software to 12 months validity.
How to apply
You must be a full time student at least 12 years of age to apply for ISIC. Please
complete the application form and send it to :

How to become an ISIC holder
Any FULL-TIME student enrolled for courses of at least 12 months
duration can apply for the ISIC
If you are a full-time student, you are eligible to become an ISIC holder!
Simply complete the application form and either post it or take it to
your nearest MSL Travel office.
In addition to this form, the following items are required:
i.
All Students travelling abroad for studies, must show proof they have paid their fees partially or fully
for their studies. Student Visas stamps on the passport may also be required.
ii.
Malaysian Students studying in local institutions must produce letters issued by the local institutions
on their respective official letterheads. Only original letters are accepted. Student Cards issued
by local universities stating current academic year may be accepted.
iii. Foreign Students studying in Malaysia must produce letters issued by the local institutions on their
respective official letterheads. Only original letters are accepted. A photocopy of passport and
student visa is also required.

and your application is in order, you only have to wait for your turn
which only depends on how busy the office is.

CO-Branded ISICs
We have the following co-branded ISICs at MSL Travel Sdn Bhd
a. With AIESEC Malaysia
To Apply for this you must enclose a letter from AIESEC Malaysia confirming that
you are a full-time student and member of AIESEC Malaysia together with a photo
and completed form. Fee is MYR 21.20 GST included
Validity will be the same as the ISIC – Northern or Southern Hemisphere
Postal Applicants pay MYR 26.50 GST included - your AIESEC ISIC will be sent to
you by registered mail to your address in Malaysia
b. With Hostelling International – Malaysia or HI-Malaysia
The ISIC-HI Malaysia is only available to Malaysian Nationals, minimum age 18
years, who want to avail themselves to the benefits offered by ISIC as well as
membership to Hostelling International.
To Apply for this you must enclose all documentation as required for ISIC and copy
of Malaysian MyCard, a photo and completed form. Fee is MYR 63.60 GST included
Validity: Valid for 12 months from the month of issue
Postal Applicants pay MYR 68.90 GST included - your ISIC-HI will be sent to you
by registered mail to your address in Malaysia
