On April 29th, the day of A-Ma’s birthday, everybody can enjoy these in the environs of the A-Ma Temple in Barra Square, which is one attraction of the World Heritage ‘Historic Centre of Macao’ and is close to the Maritime Museum, in tandem with lion and dragon dance performances. ‘Sparkler-grabbing’ is perhaps the most memorable activity, with the third sparkler believed to bring luck and good fortune to families. Highlights of the 21st Myanmar Overseas Chinese Water Festival include the Festooned Vehicle Parade and the Blessing parade. The 21st Myanmar and Southeast Asia Cuisine and Culture Festival features food booths, folk music and dance performances, while the Water Festival Carnival presents another opportunity to see China and Myanmar’s music and dance performances, partake in the fun of the water splashing free-for-all...plus all that delicious southeast Asian food!
