BIOGRAPHY
She continued her music lessons from Late Sukumar Mitra,
Shri. Anup Ghoshal, Mrs. Shivani Mukherjee, Shri. Asit
Sengupta. She took advance lesson in classical from
Pt. Deepak Chatterjee. At present, is having advance training
from renowned playback singer, an expert voice trainer, a
talented Composer and Lyricist Shri. Shurjo Bhattacharya. She
can sing all genres of songs with equal ease like Rabindra
Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, Modern Bengali, Hindi Songs, Bhajan.
She has performed in various concerts in major cities like Delhi,
Kolkata, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Mumbai and
has more than 150 concerts to her credit. She has also done
number of Corporate Shows for reputed companies like Electro
Software, San, Maruti Suzuki, Wipro, Dell, Exide to name a few.
With her mellifluous voice, she mesmerizes the audience
through her performance. She is versatile and render
melodious and fast numbers all at ease. She touches the
audience with her crystal clear voice.
Her first Bengali album released by "Prime Music" of Bengali
New Modern Songs - “USHNO PREMER AYINA”, has brought
back memories of old 70 - 80's golden time, lyrics and music by
eminent play back singer Shri. Shurjo Bhattacharya.
“PREMER AALOYE - RABI NAZRUL” a compilation of romantic
songs released by RAGA MUSIC, an unique effort of bringing out the
contrasting style of the two great poets Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore
and Kaji Nazrul Islam, inaugurated by legendary actor
Shri. Soumitro Chatterjee.

MAHUYA
Mahuya born in a musical family, started her training under the
tutelage of her mother Mrs. Bela Basu. From childhood she was
an ardent follower of music. She is a natural singer. She has
completed her Bachelor Degree with Honours in English. Beside
this, she did her B.Ed and parallely completed her Bachelor Degree
in Vocal Music (Hindustani Classical) with 1st class and distinction
from Rabindra Bharati University.
