Introduction
Since 1993, we have been designing and manufacturing
original statues, birdbaths, water features, benches,
planters etc for home and garden decoration. We start
with a concept which is then interpreted and sculpted
into a ‘master,’ from which we take a mould and then
produce castings. As our designs are original, we hold the
copyright for most of our products. Our line is sold mainly
through independent garden centres, nurseries, home
décor stores and gift stores with gardening accents.
Our products are made from proprietary blends of high
performing concrete and have unique weather resistant
finishes applied. They are also sealed with an acrylic
sealer. Products can stay outside year round, with the
exception of bowls and other items that collect water;
these may crack when exposed to the freeze-thaw cycle
and should be drained or otherwise protected. We
recommend cleaning with warm soapy water and a
sponge. A clear acrylic sealer can be reapplied if desired
although not essential.

Retailer Support
We offer a number of complimentary programs and services aimed at supporting the retailer in selling the Castart Studios line.
• Booking programs with extended terms (available on approved
credit) and transportation cost caps; please ask your rep or contact
us directly for the current
programs.
Merchandising guidelines.
Here are a number of merchandising tips that we have found work well:
o Group the Castart Studios line.
• Weather resistant POS
(Point of Sale Material).
These descriptive tags
are included with each
shipment.
o Group by theme.
o Create small vignettes with complementary merchandise.
o Greenery, greenery, greenery! Allows the customer to picture the
piece in their garden.
• A current best seller list
is always available.
o Ensure the POS tags are displayed clearly. Use fishing line or pin nails.
• New products are designed on an ongoing basis and introduced via
a quarterly email newsletter; please send an email to
[email protected] if you are not already on the list. An annual
catalogue insert is mailed out also.
o Display on multiple levels. We find construction cinder blocks work
well as supports. Keep the display safe for small children.
o Consider using a fountain or other large piece as a focal point and
continue the display around this.
• QR (Quick Response) mobile website. With
the explosion in the popularity of mobile
devices, we have developed a mobile
website that can be reached by scanning
this QR image. A customer can search
products by category or by collection and
the images are formatted to be more suited to mobile devices. The
QR image can be found on POS material.
o Keep large pieces (e.g. fountains) displayed and take orders.
Repeat orders can then be shipped pre-packed on pallets, saving
the retailer time and keeping the display intact.
• Retailer referrals. We receive many requests from consumers looking
to buy our products; we refer these people to retailers in their area.
o Take photos of a successful display, this helps with re-ordering and
for designing future displays.
• High/low resolution images are available on request for in-house
signage/promotion material or advertising use.
o Fountains won’t sell unless they are running and benches won’t
sell unless people can sit on them!
• Extra catalogues are available on request for retail display. Pricing
labels for the catalogues are available in three pricing formats;
wholesale, manufacturer’s suggested retail or custom retail (please
contact us for these).
o If an item sits for a while without selling, try moving it to a different
location.
• Barcodes are available by email. Unfortunately we are unable to offer
barcode pricing labels for the products, but the barcodes can be used
for retailers’ own pricing and inventory systems.
o Keep a backup inventory of hot selling items, so the display can be
kept intact.
Green Efforts
We use recycled packing material, boxes (when available) and pallets. We
re-use waste water from the staining process; this is incorporated back
into the concrete mix and thus kept out of the environment. Broken pieces
are crushed and used as road-base. Paper, plastic, glass and metals go
into the local recycling program. We don’t pretend to be perfect, but we
do what we can to mitigate our impact on the environment.
