ship all ground packages UPS unless otherwise instructed. If you are in the Midwest area, you are welcome to fly in or drive in
to the Middletown Airport, Middletown, Ohio (KMWO).
We except MasterCard, Visa, Discover, checks or cash. Additional handling/packing fees will be added for oversize and
fragile items. Canadian orders require 20% ($11.00 min.) for shipping/handling. (prices are for ground UPS shipments.
Canadian orders are also subject to Brokerage/Custom fees charged by Canadian Authorities. Air Shipment Orders require
an additional charge. Some parts are subject to an additional CORE charge. Full refund of CORE charge is based on a part
that can be rebuilt as determined by the approved Repair Station/Vendor.

The following two pages are the airframe specifications that
must be met before installation of Alpha Gross Weight
Increase STC SA02450CH.
Univair (ERCO) Model 415-C or Model 415-CD
#1320 GROSS WEIGHT INCREASE
This STC authorizes the increase of the allowable gross weight of Univair (ERCO) 415-C
and -CD aircraft from the present 1260 pounds to a 1320-pound maximum weight.
This 60-pound increase in gross weight will provide the operator with a greater margin of
safety, through the ability of the average aircraft to carry a full fuel load (24 Gallons) and
two 170-pound occupants.
Airframe Qualification
The following criteria must be met prior to the application of STC SA02450CH and the use of
the increased gross weight that it authorizes.
The aircraft is a Univair (ERCO) Model 415-C or Model 415-CD.
The aircraft has not been converted to a Car 03, TCDS A-787 aircraft.
The aircraft must be in compliance with CAR, Part 4a, approved TCDS A-718.
The aircraft is to have a standard airworthiness certificate.
The airworthiness certificate is in the Normal Category.
The aircraft is powered by one of the following approved engines:
TCM: C75-12; C75-12F; C85-12 or C85-12F
The installed propeller is approved in combination with the installed engine.
Previous modifications or applied STC’s do not preclude the installation of this STC.
Determine that an acceptable longitudinal control system is installed or can be installed.
Elevator and Trim Tab Requirements The subject 415-C and CD Aircraft must incorporate a longitudinal control system meeting the
following:
Elevator - Full span elevator (ERCO Drawing 415-22017, with a moveable 1 3/8. trim tab cut
into the right

Discussion There are three styles of elevators that may be found installed on Model 415-C and 415-CD
aircraft.
415-C Aircraft were originally equipped with a full span elevator (ERCO Drawing 41522001), without a moveable trim tab.
Elevators, per drawing 415-22001 do not fulfill the requirements of this STC.
Later 415-C Aircraft were equipped with a full span elevator (ERCO Drawing 415-22017),
with a moveable ¾. trim tab, cut into the right trailing edge. (ERCO Drawing 415-22027)
Aircraft with ¾. trim tabs per ERCO Drawing 415-22027 will need to be updated with the
installation of PN 415-22031-4, 1 3/8. trim tab blade, per ERCO Drawing 415- 22031.
415-CD Aircraft were equipped with a full span elevator (ERCO Drawing 415-22017, with a
moveable 1 3/8. trim tab cut into the right trailing edge. (ERCO Drawing 415-22031).
These installation conform to the requirements of STC SA02450CH.
415-C and 415-CD Aircraft, Model E split elevator.
An unknown number of 415-C and 415-CD aircraft have been field modified and FAA
approved to incorporate the split elevator assembly (ERCO Drawing 415- 22037), first
seen on Model 415-E aircraft.
It has been determined that a properly rigged E model elevator assembly satisfies the
requirements of this STC.

INCLUDED WITH THIS KIT: New Shoulder and Lap Belts for Both Pilot & Co-Pilot
Positions (2 seats), new assemblies, all necessary parts & hardware and STC
Authorization.
This STC approves the installation of a vendor supplied TSO-C114 restraint
system, at each pilot position. The restraint system incorporates a traditional
pelvic restraint strap (lap belt) provided with the provision to attach, as needed,
a single diagonal torso restraint strap. The aft end of the torso restraint strap is
hard mounted to the airframe at a location aft of each pilot position. The free
end of the strap is attached to the pelvic restraint at the buckle location and adjusted,
as necessary, by use of the cinch strap provided. The attachments for
the pelvic restraint straps (lap belts) are unchanged.

INSTALLATION of a BATTERY MASTER RELAY
This STC effort is undertaken in order to increase the safety and maintainability of
Univair (ERCO) 415-C, 415-CD, 415-D, MODEL –E, -G, -F-1, F-1A aircraft.
As these aircraft have aged, a design shortcoming, lack of electrical system control
through a battery master relay, has surfaced. The current design utilizes an AN3023-2
Toggle Switch, in series with the main electrical bus, to control the airframe electrical
load. In essence, the entire ships starting and operating load passes through the
contacts of the AN3023-2 Toggle Switch, resulting in a voltage drop across the
contacts, contact heating and reduced switch life. The modification of the electrical
system by the installation of a high current capacity master relay will modernize the
electrical system and reduce the instances of contact heating and failure.

When you order the 30-gallon fuel system from Skyport Services, you will receive all necessary
instructions for removal and installation. We have had the systems in many of our Couper's planes for
over ten years with thousands of hours of flight time. We have over 40 installations with excellent results.
We estimate it will take the first timer approximately 50 to 60 hours or six (6) days to complete
installation. The first two days are for removal of old system. Third through fifth days are for mounting
new system, with the final day for finishing installation and testing.
You will receive all the necessary fuel lines, fittings, clamps and brackets. A new electric standby
fuel pump**, and a new fuel shut off valve is included. We have made every effort during prototyping to
make a "standard" system, however it is recognized that over the years no two Coupes are alike.
Therefore, credit will be allowed for any un-used new parts that do not "fit" into your system or where you
found duplication with old parts as specified by the instructions and /or drawings. Skyport Services will
also allow a core credit for your three old tanks. Credit will be based on the condition of your old tank,
with a minimum of $25.00 each for unusable tanks and up to $100.00 for a good condition header tank,
and up to $125.00 each for a good wing tank. Turnplate, patched tanks or poorly sealed tanks will receive
minimum credit each.
If you have a Stromberg NAS3A1 carburetor, you will have to change the 383911 standard seat
with a 384585 seat that has a .113 hole, because the new system operates at a greater fuel pressure. The
384585 seat is available from SKYPORT. No changes are necessary if you have a MARVEL-SCHEBLER
MA-3SPA. If you have converted to an O-200 engine, the engine must have an engine driven fuel pump.
All other Ercoupes have engine driven fuel pumps. If you have the original LH Wing Tank Fuel gauge
assembly, reuse that. This original fuel gauge is no longer available through normal supply sources.
Conversion to other fuel gauges offered on the open market will require field approval via form 337.
We feel this installation deserves serious consideration because it will eliminate the safety hazards
caused by the header tank. It will give you extra fuel capacity and much needed room behind the panel.
There is no effect on automotive fuel STC. Unusable fuel is less than 5%.

the answer to your problems. Larger "gills" improve cooling of the cylinder
heads, and the recessed intake below the prop assures a constant flow of cool
ram air along the bottom of the crankcase and to the oil sump. No loss in
