Combs Mountain Parkway is a beautiful drive from Winchester to Salyersville. Red River Gorge Loop Drive - National Byway route on KY 11, 77, 715, & KY 15, passing thru the Nada Tunnel, an old logging railroad tunnel, along the Red River. Over 150 natural sandstone arches in the area and three waterfalls are in the Red River Gorge. Zilpo Scenic Drive - KY 211 from Salt Lick to Clear Creek Road, (FS 129), follow signs to Zilpo (about 13 miles). Enjoy breathtaking views of Cave Run Lake along the way, passes Clear Creek Furnace and Tater Knob Tower. The organ is still played today, and the home and the church remain a vital part of Downtown Paintsville 1850’s Mountain Homeplace Farm, living-history farm depicting the rugged way of life on the Appalachian plateau during the civil war era, costumed interpreters go about their day-to-day chores.
