Sterile balanced salt solution for irrigation in ophthalmology
Application
Irrigation of anterior and posterior chamber
during cataract surgery and other intraocular
procedures; removal of alphachymotrypsin
after enzymatic zonulolysis; intraoperative
irrigation of the anterior chamber in cases
of an anterior chamber hemorrhage;
irrigation of the cornea during strabotomy
and other extraocular surgeries; irrigation
of the conjunctiva following fluoresceine
application; irrigation of the lacrimal duct
following chemical and thermal burns;
moistening of corneal and conjuctival surface
during laser treatment.
Composition
Sodium chloride, sodium acetate, sodium
magnesium chloride, water for injection
Properties
Chemical composition, pH and osmolality
of PURI CLEAR™ (Balanced Salt Solution)
correspond to those of aqueous humor.
Therefore, PURI CLEAR™ as a physiological
irrigating solution is highly suitable for
maintenance of cellular metabolism.
