THE SELECTION PROCESS powered by INSIDE LACROSSE
The “best of the best” high school seniors in North America --both boys and girls-- vied for the most prestigious honor in their sport. A committee, lead by the
editors of Inside Lacrosse and comprised of the nation’s most knowledgeable figures in high school lacrosse, selected the top 44 senior boys and top 44 senior girls.
Coaches, athletic directors and fans can nominate players to be considered for the team on the event website.
THE TEAMS
The All-Americans were assigned to teams from North and South regions of the United States. A geographic line was established to allow a fair assignment of known
lacrosse powerhouse schools.
THE 20-TEAM UNDERCLASS TOURNAMENT
The Under Armour Underclass part of the event is a pool play tournament that features boys and girls Elite teams from Baltimore, Long Island, Midwest, New
England, New Jersey, South, Philadelphia, Upstate New York,Washington, DC and West. The games will be played over the three-day All-America weekend at Towson
University. Tryouts for these teams were held in their respective markets during May or June. In all, nearly 3,500 kids tried out for the Under Armour Underclassmen
teams. Each tryout was attended by an average of 60 college coaches from some of the top programs in the nation.
THE UNCOMMITTED SHOWCASE
The Uncommitted Games are part of the event for the second time. Each year there are very talented players who are on the cusp of making their respective underclass
team, but are not selected. Aside from the 24 players chosen for each regional team, five uncommitted (to college) players will be invited to compete and showcase
themselves this weekend. A total of 50 players in each of the graduating classes - 2015, 2016, 2017 - for both boys and girls will play head-to-head games on Saturday.
Players were selected by the regional evaluators and coaches. Only players who participated in the regional tryouts were eligible for the uncommitteed teams.
THE JUNIOR COLLEGE SHOWCASE
In a continuing effort to make showcase the nation’s top lacrosse players at every level during event weekend, the Junior College Showcase returns to the lineup of the
Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic. Tryouts were held in three seperate regions (North, Metro, South). The tryouts were open to all male players who have just
graduated, are currently enrolled or entering a two-year Junior College. Two teams will compete at the Junior College Showcase in a North vs. South format at 1pm on
Friday, July 3rd, inside Johnny Unitas Stadium. College coaches will flock to the event.
THREE DAYS OF LACROSSE EXCITEMENT
This year’s public activities will start on Friday with the kick off of the Underclass tournament at Towson University. A complete game schedule is included later in
this publication. Action will continue on Saturday with additional Underclass games, the uncommitted games, as well as the featured senior All-America games,
held at Johnny Unitas Stadium on the campus of Towson University. One admission ticket will get you access to both senior games. Play for the Underclass
tournament will conclude on Sunday with playoffs as well as the championship games.

WELCOME FANS
W
elcome to the tenth annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic. This
weekend, the eyes of the lacrosse world are focused on Towson University as the
most elite high school lacrosse players in the country demonstrate their skills in
front of the game’s top collegiate coaches, passionate fans, and fellow elite players. We
are excited to host players from all corners of the United States and congratulate them
for their tremendous achievement of earning the sport’s biggest honor…being named an
Under Armour All-American.
The Under Armour All-America label is one that will stick with a player throughout their
playing career. It also represents years of dedication, sacrifice and the support of an entire
network of family, friends, coaches, and teammates.
Inside Lacrosse was instrumental in the selection of the senior All-America teams through a committee made up of the nation’s most
knowledgeable figures in high school lacrosse. They picked the brains of college and high school coaches from across the country to find
the best of the best.
The ultimate litmus test of an Under Armour All-American is how a player performs at the collegiate level. A total of 48 former Under
Armour All-Americans were named to their respective college’s all-conference first teams at the conclusion of 2015 college lacrosse season.
University of Maryland’s Taylor Cummings (2012) and Lyle (2011) Thompson from Albany walked away with the prestigious Tewaaraton
Award for the second consecutive year.
The Underclass tournament affiliated with this event has evolved into lacrosse’s most prestigious showcase tournament. In both Long
Island and Baltimore, for example, more than 125 college coaches attended the boys tryouts. Overall more than 3,500 student-athletes
registered for the opportunity to earn a spot on their respective regional team….an all-time event record.
We are delighted to expand the event with the continuation of our Junior College games. In addition to the 24 players selected for each
regional underclass team, five uncommitted players from each boys and girls region in the graduating classes of 2016, 2017 and 2018
were invited to compete in one game at the event. For the second year in a row, the uncommitted games promise to be a huge draw for
college coaches.
A big thank you goes to the people behind the scenes such as Bill Murphy and his staff at Towson
University. Their tireless work during a holiday weekend plays a huge role in this event’s exponential
growth and success.
Thank you for being a part of this exciting and important event. Good luck to our athletes, and most
importantly, have fun!

Tryouts were held in three seperate regions, in which 27 players were
selected each for a North and South team. Just like the Under Armour
Underclass Tryouts and Tournament, the Under Armour Junior College
tryouts attracted college coaches from every division searching for that
diamond in the rough. The tryouts were open to all players who have just
graduated, are currently enrolled or entering a two-year Junior College.
Players were judged by a panel of knowledgeable sources including
coaching experts from that region.
The two teams will compete at the Junior College Showcase this
weekend.

The North squad mounted a second-half rally by scoring seven of eight
goals over a span of 13 minutes on its way to posting a 12-9 victory.
MVP Stephanie Anderson recorded three goals and an assist to help the

Tatum Coffey scored three of her game-high five goals in the second half
to lead the North team to a 15-10 victory and earn MVP honors.
Tied 7-7 at the half, the North scored some early goals to take a threegoal lead that it would never surrender. The South rallied by scoring two
of the next three goals to cut the gap to 11-9, but Nora Berry added
back-to-back scores to put the game out of reach.
Kelly Weis made six saves for the North in the first half and her
replacement Bridget Bianco allowed just three goals while making
three saves.
Bobby Wardwell made 12 saves in the second half, nine of which came
in the 4th quarter, to help the South earn an 11-9 victory. It was the
lowest scoring game in the six-year history of the event.
Early on it looked as if the North was going to dominate as Brandon
Gamblin scored five seconds into the game. The South posted a late
three-goal rally to cut the deficit to 7-6 at the half.
The South’s Goran Murray, a long-stick middie, went coast to coast twice
during the third quarter as his team scored four unanswered goals to
pull away in the period. Wardwell’s 12 saves tied the event record and
was the same amount as the North’s combined total.

McDonogh teammates Corinne Etchison and Taylor Cummings, the game’s
MVP, scored an event record eight points each as the South soundly
defeated the North for only the second time in the series, 25-13, in what
proved to be a record-setting day.
Tied at 6-6 in the first half, the South scored seven consecutive goals in
three minutes en route to rewriting the record book for goals in a game.
The South also set the record for assists in a game with 12, while Etchison
set the individual record with five.
Sammy Jo Tracy led the North with two goals and was one of 15 players
to register at least a point, including 11 different goal scorers.
Gordie Koerber netted a hat trick, scoring two of the South’s three goals
in the second half, to help fend off a North comeback while garnering
MVP honors and securing a 12-11 victory.
The North trailed 9-5 at halftime, outscoring their opponent 6-3 in the
second half, but could not overcome a six-goal second quarter by the
South. South goalie Luke Aaron made a game-clinching save with two
seconds remaining on a shot from James Pannell to earn the second
consecutive and third overall win in the series.
Jake Froccaro led the North winning 12-of-16 faceoffs with eight
groundballs and scoring two goals in the second half.

SPREAD THE WEALTH: The boys class of 2015 will be
headed to 19 different universities in the fall. Duke,
Syracuse, North Carolina and Johns Hopkins lead the

CONFERENCE RIVALRIES BLOSSOMING: Every school in the ACC and
Big 10 has at least one boys recruit on this year’s All-America rosters.
The ACC leads the way with 17 All-America recruits heading to its five

have 12 All-Americans on display. The Ivy League boasts 8 All-America
recruits.
SISTER ACT: Three players from the 2015 roster, Kelsey Cummings (Attack,
Ellicott City, MD/ McDonogh School), Shelby Mercer (Defense, Woodbine, MD/

older sister who were also named an Under Armour All-American previously.
Kelsey Cummings will join her famous sister, Taylor, next year in College Park.
WELCOME BACK: 31 of the seniors on this year’s AllAmerica girls rosters, including 17 on the North squad,
were in town for this event in 2014 and/or 2013 while
competing for their respective region in the Underclass

On the boys side, 26 of this year’s All-Americans,
including 16 on the South squad, also repsented their
respective regions in the Underclass Tournament.

(Defense, Pennsylvania) and Drew Supinski (Midfield, Johns
Hopkins) led the Fords to the No. 1 ranking in the final Under
Armour/Inside Lacrosse top 25 national rankings. The Fords
