Company in São Mateus, located in Espírito Santo
State, where the Company is putting in its efforts.
Modern and ecologically-friendly, bold in its design,
the Volare Unit in Espírito Santo State is a model for
the future plants of the Group. Self-sustainable and
technologically-advanced, the plant was designed
to optimize processes and maximize production,
providing comfort and safety to its employees, in
addition to being quality-oriented in all its aspects,
and avoiding waste. As far as employees are
concerned, partnerships have been signed with
local training companies, such as SENAI, selecting
the best workforce in the region, which enables
employees to carry out many different functions,
while respecting their culture.

The New Year is here, even though a few months
have already gone by, and with it, great news. There
are several forecasts for 2016, but I believe that it
is easier to plan for the future than to predict it.
Ideas and work are coming and this is what we, at
Volare, are doing.
“We hope our innovations
will please you, turning
this year into a landmark
in our history.”
This 36th special edition of Volare Club comes full
of good news, curiosities and information and I
must highlight at least two pieces of good news: the
first is about the new manufacturing plant of the
The second piece of good news is related to the
new-launched Volare bus, the Five. Developed from
customers` needs and designed to comply with the
requirements of passengers and drivers, the vehicle
meets the requirements of ergo-comfort, safety,
drivability and sturdiness. It’s not a van, nor a bus,
even though it offers the features of a bus and the
size of a van. It is at an intermediate position between
the two vehicles, a compact Volare, designed from
research to meet the needs of a specific market
niche. We are, perhaps, creating a new segment, a
100% integral vehicle (chassis and body).
We hope these innovations will please you, turning
this year into a landmark in our history. We are
aware that we are doing our part, helping to make
Brazil a better place to live. May this Magazine offer
you moments of reflection and entertainment
while browsing through its pages, along with its
columnists.

THROUGH ALL THE WINDS
Volare renews its slogan and institutional positioning
to strengthen its branding essence.
Brand positioning is often seen as the selection of a business area,
preferably one that does not have too many competing players.
However, there is a mistake in believing that the Brand has the
ability to operate in territories in a highly adaptable manner, such
as a chameleon.
“FLYING IS THE
DEFINITION OF
OUR BRAND
ESSENCE”
The new Branding view shows just the opposite. The most vigorous
positioning, which ensures business continuity and resilience of a
brand throughout various crises, is the one backing on outstanding
talents, its very essence. When the real talents meet the needs of
the world, there lies the so-called “vocation” - as Aristotle stated
2500 years ago. Our talents are the weapons that make us stronger.
Therefore, talents become a firm growth platform.
When we started our Volare positioning project, we were faced with
these questions: What are the talents of our brand? What are the
needs of the world that the brand can meet?
8
THROUGH ALL THE WINDS
During our period of immersion, we have noticed
some exciting factors. The brand was born out
of the desire to take independent flights. An
overwhelming desire to open wings, conquer new
markets, reach new audiences. Even though Volare
counts on the close partnership of Marcopolo - its
parent company - Volare wishes to show the world
its willpower and growth.
agile, precise and safe transport of a “collective” of
people, that shows even in its name - Volare - of
Italian origin.
Secondly, we also noticed something quite
unprecedented:
unlike many players, Volare
respects the idea of the collective. It is not a
cargo engineering that adapts to the passenger,
but Engineering exclusively designed for people.
A team that values the collective, ensuring the
Ultimately, flying is, for Volare, something done
quite naturally, in several directions. Flying is the
definition of the brand essence, the production
process, the portfolio of products, the internal
culture, the wish for its customers to be successful.
The desire to take flights with safety is also related
to the desire to participate in the growth of its
customers. There is pleasure in achieving good
results, both internally and externally.
BRAND VALUES
When considering the brand values, flying was the inspiration:
WE ARE A PLURALITY
A RESPONSE FOR EACH PATH
EXPLORE, DISCOVER,
FLY HIGHER
AGILITY AND PRECISION
Always in search of new challenges.
Being engineering quality in every detail, from design
to delivery.
OVERCOME OBSTACLES
BEING AN INCENTIVE FOR CUSTOMER TO FLY.
The union of people, processes, and
ideas for all purposes.
Being steadfast, courageous, believe.
Understanding and creating the best solutions for
every demand.
Being a partner in any business and growth.
All this has made us to understand what Volare
is about: flying, travelling, with safety, agility,
lightness. Volare wishes to be the good trip of all
people through diverse solutions and products,
so that its customers may arrive to their different
destinations.
Flying, to Volare, is being this relentless movement
that overcomes all obstacles, which develops
power to reach all corners of the world. Volare
wants to fly, but also wants to give wings to those
who need it.
Brand positioning, which reveals and cultivates its
main talents, is unique and not transferable.
This positioning inspires all actions of the brand.
And it is with great pride that we suggest the
signature that is currently in effect, and which
marks an important and significant milestone in
this new moment of the brand: Volare. Through
all the winds.

CONVENTIONAL
WISDOM
“The river reaches its
goals because it has

obstacles.”
Lao-Tzu
Conventional wisdom and quotes from
Great Masters are considered cliché by
some readers. And they are right, from the
literary point-of -view. However, if we look
under the prism of the truth they carry,
then the picture changes. A good example
of what I mean is the sentence: “It is not
the strongest that survives, nor the most
intelligent, but rather the most adaptable
to changes “. Ascribed to the British
naturalist Charles Darwin, the sentence
gives a survival lesson in any jungle, whether
tropical, green, made of stone or corporate.
10
POINT-OF-VIEW
Lao-Tzu, a Chinese philosopher and Alchemist,
would say that “The river reaches its goals because
it has learned to overcome obstacles”. If it is not
possible this way, let´s try a different way. And my
mother, Mrs. Ilma, insists that “No need to knock
your head against a brick wall over this problem”. I
have heard this for as long as I can remember and
I found it to be true.
All these three ideas call us to reflection, to a
careful review of what is around us, so we may
live with it and its inhabitants in the best possible
way. We need to be intelligent and flexible enough
to change strategy when we realize that it is not
working. If you can change the environment so
things are more in your favor, great, otherwise ...
“If you can’t beat them, join them” says another
ancestral teaching. This requires that you adapt to
your new situation.
In today’s competitive world, maybe these maxims
hold true more than ever before. There’s no point
in doing what you have always done, come up with
products that everybody offers; harp on the same
string over and over. Rice and beans can be found
in any average restaurant. But a tasty dish with
the chef´s special touch, a delicacy, that`s rare.
Andalmostalwaysthisistherecipe for success.
All the changes taking place in our contemporary
lifestyle and the growth of the population and of
the large urban centers require new technologies,
tools and ways of living. What was considered
as innovative and essential 20 years ago, today is
a museum piece. In this fast-pace world we live
in, more and more, time is money. And money is
the fuel of business. There is no a niche that does
not need this universal currency, unless it’s selfsustaining, which is still pretty unusual.
also to offer solutions to the demands of our time.
Some segments are always neglected and these
spaces must be filled. We have been talking about
crisis more than ever before, but opportunity
comes with it.
It takes a sharp eye for business to detect market
gaps, and, more than that, competence to fill
them. It is not enough to present something new,
it must be useful. Likewise, good price is not a
guarantee of sale if the product does not add
quality. It takes a look beyond the conventional
vision, not only to keep the business running, but
“While some cry others sell handkerchiefs”.
With creative ability, innovation and assertiveness,
a small gap can be turned into a great opportunity.
As it says another famous quote (I promise, this is
the last one):
Let`s think about this!

“CASARIO DO PORTO”
SÃO MATEUS • ESPÍRITO SANTO STATE
If the wrinkles on your face
tell your story, it is true that
the stones of a street tell it
too. And if these stony paths
lead to ancient cities, they are
steeped in history too. This
is the case of São Mateus, in
the Northern coast of Espírito
Santo State, the second oldest
city in the State. Founded in
1544, Sao Mateus has currently
125,000 inhabitants and the
largest black population in the
State. It is 220 km away from
the capital, Vitória, and stands
out for its tourism industry,
both cultural and seasonal
attractions.
The Carnival in
Guriri, for example, the city’s
main seaside resort, is one of
the busiest in the region and
nationally known.
In 1596, Father José de Anchieta,
in one of his pilgrimages,
celebrated a mass there on
the exact day of St. Matthew –
September 21.
The city took its current name
after the mass celebrated
by Fr. José de Anchieta. Its
previous name was Povoado
de Cricaré. Until the second
half of the 19th century, its port
was one of the main ports of
entry from slaves in Brazil. That
might explain the large number
of blacks, even though there is
also a strong presence of Italian
descendants. The population,
in fact, is multiracial and
mostly Catholic.
São Mateus is endowed with
beautiful natural attractions
such as rivers, beaches, sand
dunes and waterfalls, in
addition to having one of the
most expressive architectural
settings in the State. The
“Casario
do
Porto”
was
declared a monument by the
State Council of culture in
1976 and in the upper town
are the most precious assets.
Dubbed as the Cultural Capital
of Espírito Santo, São Mateus
was the first town to have a
theater. Currently, its economy
is based on services and on oil
exploration.
As one can see, São Mateus has
many attractions. For those
who like to travel, São Mateus
is a wonderful destination.
Here, the eyes of the traveller
are drawn to a very Brazilian
setting.
And, like Thomas,
another Saint, it may be worth
paying to see.

GIVING SENSE TO FLAVOR
Although the Espírito Santo State has, in clay pots and in
the “moqueca” (sea food stew) the most traditional dish
of its cuisine, the State has other traditional dishes as
well. Fishing and sea food combined with local ingredients
explain the diversity of colors and flavors in this dish.

A NEW
MILESTONE
IN THE
TRANSPORT
OF PEOPLE
The Volare Five innovates in its
conception and is the first vehicle
that has been designed focused on
the comfort and safety of passenger
and driver.
What do the vehicles designed for the transport of
people, existing today in the Brazilian market, have
in common? They have all been conceived from
models designed for the transport of cargo, with
limitation in design, drawing, structure and, more
importantly, in the definition and configuration of
the internal space. Therefore, they do not offer
the desired level of comfort, ergonomics, safety,
efficiency and convenience for both, the driver
and passengers.
To break this paradigm, Volare – whichhas always
focused on
the passenger anddriver
when
developing its vehicles - began in February 2013
to design the Volare Five, at that rime known only
as RC5).
The Volare Five was designed from inside out,
that it, from people to the rest. The vehicle has
all features that make it ideal for the transport
of people, with a unique standard of comfort,
ergonomics, safety, internal mobility and
convenience.

17
NOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE
FOCUSED ON THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER
The Volare Five has been conceived focused
on the passenger and driver. To this end, the
Company’s engineers used the QFD (Quality
Function Deployment) tool to define the vehicle`s
features (according to the needs and desires of
transportation professionals) and focused on the
most relevant aspects such as easy access and
mobility, large internal dimensions and compact
external size. Surveys were carried out and users`
comments were taken into account.
The Volare Five is unique. While the vehicle
was being designed, Volare has examined 702
citations from 35 different companies operating
in the transport of people, in Brazil and abroad,
regardless if they were customers or not. From their
answers, we have combined, in the new vehicle,
the main characteristics and advantages of a van,
such as agility, driveability, maneuverability, low
fuel consumption and low cost, as well as reduced
levels of NVH (noise, vibration and harshness)
with the characteristics of a small bus (number of
seats, comfortable seats, sturdiness (durability),
maintenance cost, visibility, after-sales network,
resale price and brand image).
EARLY DRAFTS OF THE VEHICLE
According to Roberto Poloni, Engineering Director
of Volare, “we have then decided that we wanted
a vehicle that would carry, in the most rational
possible way, a certain number of people within
certain transport categories. And then all was
done around this proposal”.
“We carried out surveys and listened to bus and van
operators. Among the features listed by them were,
for example, better ergonomics and convenience for
the driver who, typically, is the owner of the vehicle
in this type of transport, in addition to cost/benefit
ratio, and pantographic automatic door, among
others. These are features either present in vans or
in buses, and we decided to combine all of them in
a single vehicle”, explains Roberto Poloni.
Conceived and developed from these definitions,
with the dimensions and features required by
such users, we designed a model with chassis
and body forming an integral vehicle. The concept
was to develop a vehicle with greater internal
space by reducing body thickness and tolerances,
while keeping rigidity and security. Features such
as greater comfort, visibility and safety for user,
durability, sturdiness, easy maintenance, reduced
maintenance cost and versatility have created
new parameters.
18
NOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE
NEW MARKET SEGMENT
“The Volare Five is intended to create a new
market segment, that of compact vehicles.
It is an integral vehicle and we don’t
consider it to be a bus, nor a minibus or a
van, but an unprecedented concept in terms
of people transport”, explains the General
Director of Volare, GelsonZardo . The Volare
Five combines the strengths of a van and a
small bus and creates a new segment in the
Brazilian market of people transportation.
The Five is the Compact vehicle of Volare.
“We worked focused on the concept of
‘ accessibility ‘, that is, we considered the
moment when all people are getting on the
vehicle, their position in the bus, the position
of their legs, feet, all to offer more comfort
and ergonomics. Mobility was thought also
in the internal aisle, making the vehicle a
“walking van”, says Poloni.
VOLARE FIVE • EXECUTIVE
The Volare Five has three different
configurations,
between
13
and
20
passengers, and also incorporates concepts
of automobiles. Technically, it falls into the
category M3 of Contran, of mini-buses, with
TGW of five tons, which establishes safety
requirements for vehicles intended for the
public transport of passengers and transport
of passengers in minibuses and buses.
VOLARE FIVE • SCHOOL
With tubular body and designed with
advanced technology material, the vehicle
incorporates a manufacturing process
that adopts features of automobiles, such
as welds made by robots, components
in injected plastic, and the SMC (Sheet
Molding
Compounda
production
compression molding process used in
finishing components for automobiles). This
higher automation, quality and finish level
meet the most stringent requirements of
the automotive industry.

VOLARE FIVE • CORPORATE CHARTER
Among the innovations that provide the Volare Five
with characteristics of the automobile industry,
is the key with remote control that allows you
to open the pantographic door and unlock the
luggage compartment hatch remotely.
The Volare Five has reduced dimensions (length
of 6700 mm; external height of 2740 mm; width of
2010 mm; internal height of 1930 mm, and internal
width of 1908 mm). With wider internal space and
distinct configuration, it offers far more comfort
and space.
The Volare Five is equipped with ISF 2.8 Cummins
Engine, 150 horsepower and torque of 360 Nm
at 1500 rpm, FSO 4505 C Eaton mechanical
transmission with five speeds and power steering.
The model has rear-wheel drive, which ensures
better response in steep terrain or in severe
applications. The front engine provides easy
access to mechanical components and makes
maintenance faster.
Another competitive edge of the Volare Five is its
luggage compartment. The model offers up to
1.57 m ³ luggage space in an unique compartment,
apart from the passengers` compartment
Access to the luggage compartment is also more
comfortable and easier.

BOLDING DESIGN
One of the main features of the Volare Five is
its design. The optical assembly is new, visualappealing and very modern.
The front grille
highlights the Volare brand identity and, along
with the headlights, ensures fluid lines and
aggressiveness.
Another important feature of the Volare Five is its
pantographic door, with automatic opening and
closing by remote control. With larger dimensions,
the vehicle offers easy access and convenience.
With the first step at only 38 cm far from the
ground, the access ladder to the interior of the
bus is the lowest among all models available in
the market (considering vans and buses).
FLUID LINES AND AGGRESSIVENESS
“One of the main features of
the Volare Five is its design.
The optical assembly is new,
visual- appealing and very
modern. The front grille

CURVED OPTICAL ASSEMBLY
At the rear, the optical assembly is curved, with
the Volare identity included in its design. The
luggage compartment rear hatch is made from
stamped steel, which is lighter and features better
finish. Opening is easy and practical.
Engineering plastic inseveral external components,
such as the bumper, fenders, hood and roof,
ensures top finish quality, reduced weight and
lower maintenance cost, easier to service. The

HIGH-STANDARD COMFORT INSIDE THE BUS
Internally, the Volare Five is also unique. Because it has been designed “from the
inside out”, with focus on the passenger and driver, its passengers` compartment
is different from any other vehicle, starting with the easiness to get on the bus.
Wide and smooth stairs lead you to a comfortable, spacious and ergonomic
environment.
Comfort for the driver is incomparable! The driver`s station is free from
obstacles. The configuration also provides the driver with full control of the
vehicle and of passengers moving inside the bus. For extra security, cameras

MAKING OF
THE VOLARE FIVE GOES THROUGH FIVE
UNPRECEDENTED AND RIGOROUS TESTS.
VOLARE FIVE ON A PROVING GROUND

Developing the new Volare Five was a big and
technical challenge for Volare Engineering.
Considering it was an entirely new vehicle –
involving an integral design (body+chassis), the
Company`s engineers carried out jobs that were
totally different from those they were used to
when developing a new product.
Their goal was to ensure maximum standards of
quality, reliability, sturdiness, safety and comfort
to the body, chassis and mechanical aspects,
mainly to ensure low levels of NVH (noise,
vibration and harshness), powertrain performance
in critical situations and severe applications, and
reduced consumption of fuel. 10 prototypesdrove
more than 800,000 km during almost two months
of rigorous and severe testing. The vehicles
underwent extreme situations such as powertrain
performance at altitudes above 3,500 m (to ensure
maximum performance in the case the vehicles
are exported to Andean countries).
In order to assess the overall performance of the
vehicle, three durability tests were carried out
on highways, running each prototype more than
100,000 km. This test allowed Engineering to
examine aspects related to the body, structural
resistance, twisting/bending, noise and vibration
level of chassis and mechanics (consumption,
operating temperature of the engine, suspension
and transmission, among other items).

MAKING OF
Largely used for School transport, the Volare
Five was tested also in the city, in three tests of
durability of 50,000 km each. During the tests,
Volare could improve features like operation and
perfect distribution of the air conditioning system,
fuel consumption, resistance of items such as
doors, and all internal equipment (seats, driver’s
controls, linings and finishes).
To ensure superior strength and performance in
any situations, the prototypes of the Volare Five
also ran over 70,000 km on rough roads. This type
of road submits the vehicle to efforts usually not
required in city and highway applications, allowing
the Company to evaluate the service life of several
items – a determining factor for the customer and
also for the Volare`s technical assistance sector.
The new Volare Five also underwent tests on
special tracks (carried out in the State of São
Paulo). During these tests, the prototypes were
submitted to different Chuck Holes and Pot Holes,
bump speed, cobblestone and washboard tracks.
More than 1,000 cycles were performed in each
situation. To get an idea of what this means,
typically automakers approve their products
with about 500 cycles performed during the
development of its models.
TESTS ON TATUI PROVING GROUND
28
MAKING OF
Important functional tests were also carried
out to analyze performance in aspects
such as engine cooling, brakes, drivability,
and dynamic stability, in addition to others
such as starting performance. These tests
allowed Volareto develop the Five meeting
all requirements related to performance,
reliability, durability, and fuel economy, quiet
inside the bus, strength and endurance.
“In a NVH assessment lab,
tests were conducted to
identify sources of vibration
and noise, measurements
on roller dynamometer, and
semi-anechoic chamber.”
Another unprecedented test in the bus
industry, conducted by Volare in its new
Volare Five, is that of electromagnetic
interference. The prototype was exposed to
electromagnetic interference in the lab and
also under normal conditions, in an external
environment on AvenidaPaulista, one of
the places subject to the highest levels
of interference across the country. The
purpose of this test is to validate the onboard electronics in the vehicle and ensure
that all its modules are perfectly working
(modules such as ABS, door lock, dashboard
and cluster, engine, air conditioning and
electronic management of the aftertreatment system, among others), whose
application is not common in buses.
TESTS ON COBBLESTONES TRACK
CHUCK HOLES AND POT HOLES TRACKS
All of these tests have allowed Volare to apply,
in the Volare Five, cutting-edge solutions,
both in the mechanical part and in the body,
thus offering the market a differentiated
and unique vehicle in terms of sturdiness,
performance, comfort, ergonomics, safety,
fuel economy and low maintenance costs.

that provide an airy and clear indoor environment
through the use of natural light and wind currents
that are typical of the region. Prismatic plates
reach up to 500 lux. Automated-system LED
lighting ensures the lighting required by the
production activities, in addition to reducing the
consumption of electrical energy.

UNPRECEDENTED PRODUCTION CONCEPT
The great advantage of the new plant is its production concept. Vehicles are produced on continuous
assembly and painting lines. The entire bus body structure is made in two pre-assembly cells and seven
modules, with special jigs and welding performed by four robots, with automated systems, all to ensure
maximum efficiency.
UNITS OF THE VOLARE FIVE ARE AT THEIR FINAL STAGE OF ASSEMBLY
Once built, the structure is automatically placed on a “cart” which carries it to the painting booth to receive
primer paint. Once this step is completed, the carrier returns taking the painted structure to the next station.

PATH TO DEVELOPMENT
It is in this moment that the AGVs (a total of
seven in the plant) begin to work. The AGVs are
computerized load carriers with presence and
proximity sensors that automatically circulate
the plant taking systems, assembly components
and carrying the body and chassis to established
points in the assembly line. The sensors make
sure that the AGVs do not “hit” or “run over” any
other equipment, or even an employee. They move
at fixed times, known as “Takt Time”.
The body assembly ends with the installation of
panels (modularization process), such as the front
and rear panels, doors, floor and hatches, among
others.

ROBOTIC AND AUTOMATED PAINTING
One of the most modern features of the plant is its paint booths. In-line and with modern computerized
systems and robotic operation, they ensure standard of quality in the automotive finish (as in passenger cars).

PATH TO DEVELOPMENT
The body enters the painting line and passes
through three cells of preparation and cleaning
before painting itself takes place. The booths
feature unique exhaust and lighting systems to
meet environmental standards. The body then
receives painting, which is made by two robots,
followed by painting cure and drying, by heat.
The body also passes through the final-release
booth, before moving on in the Assembly line.
At all stages, transportation is automatically made
by the AGVs.
All finishing features and internal items are then
placed: side panels, ceiling, linings, floor, window
panes, dashboard, seats, overhead luggage racks,
and audio and video equipment. The body is ready
to go into place on its chassis, in a new stage of
the Assembly line.
“Modern computerized systems
and robotic operation ensure standard
of quality in the automotive finish.”
CHASSIS ASSEMBLY
The chassis frames are assembled at Volare on
a dedicated line. The stringers and parts come
separately. The frame is mounted on a jig (all
monitored electronically), where operators can
follow up every step/process and thus ensure that
all parts are perfectly fixed. AGVs operate in this
line as well.
There are seven assembly stations, the control of
each activity being made, in each one of them,
electronically, by barcode. In case of any problem,
the line stops and the products waits until the
problem is solved, so it can be released to the next
step. All this is made following the takt time.

PATH TO DEVELOPMENT
BODY/CHASSIS COUPLING
The body is again carried by an AGV and now the
process begins to place it on its chassis, in the
station known as Coupling Portal. The AGV moves
the body and makes the coupling. Then the bodychassis is suspended so fixing can take place,
which is made by an operator with semiautomatic
equipment, with controlled torque and three
sequences of “tightenings”, to guarantee that
bolts are correctly calibrated.
Once assembly is complete, transportation is made
by an AGV called “towing device”. Transportation
in this stage takes place differently from the
previous steps (the body and chassis are moved
around both alone and apart).
Then the vehicle goes through three stations,
where it receives the electric connections and the
process is finalized. As the next step, the vehicle
follows to the supply system, where it receives all
liquids (Arla, fluids, water, etc). Finally, the vehicle
goes through a visual inspection and through
brake and rolling tests (dynamometer), and wheels
alignment. Assembly finishes here.

PATH TO DEVELOPMENT
ECO-PLANT
The new plant also follows the ecological model.
Even from before the preparation of the ground,
designers sought to enhance and preserve the
environment and sustainability. No deforestation
was required, since most of the land was
cultivated with eucalyptus trees. All actions
have been defined respecting the standards
of environmental agencies, with the ongoing
monitoring of biologists and rescue specialists of
the fauna, flora and possible archaeological sites,
from the earthmoving phase on.
Along with all these technical resources,
water deserved special care. Water for human
consumption (drinking water) comes from an
artesian well drilled in the company`s ground, and
is treated on the water treatment station, stored
in elevated storage tanks and then distributed
to all required points (water fountains, sinks,
restaurant). For other uses, such as industrial
use, irrigation, sanitary, etc., water is re-used,
either from the Wastewater Treatment Station
or rainwater from the streets and roofs, which
is stored in a lake with capacity of more than 15
million liters.A solar heating system (solar panels)
was also implemented to heat the water used in
the restaurant and showers, thus taking advantage
of the sunshine in the region.
PHYSICO-CHEMICAL REACTORS
“Even from before the
preparation of the ground,
designers sought to
enhance and preserve
the environment and
sustainability.”
Another action was the implementation of
the Selective Collection Program of industrial
and domestic waste, while seeking to reduce
waste generation and giving it the ecologicallycorrect waste destination inherent to production
processes. The natural renewal of the ambient
air takes place 12 times/ hour with natural and
continuous ventilation, and exhaustion in all the
required industrial processes.

WHAT`S YOUR
BEST OPTION
TO BUY YOUR
VOLARE
VEHICLE?
There is no doubt that, to
remain competitive nowadays,
a company needs to invest
in technology. This is even
more crucial in the segment of
passenger transport. Modern
vehicles mean safety, lower fuel
consumption, low maintenance
cost and bolder designs,
i.e., beauty and comfort for
passengers.
Volare is always a great
option when it comes to fleet
purchase or renewal, since
it produces dynamic cars for
different types of soil and
audiences, with its renowned
quality.
For new investments to be
feasible, we have requested
the assistance of the Chief
Financial Officer of Volare,
Mr. Fabio Rosa, who has
presented three of the main
funding options available in
Brazil. They can help you and
your company to decide what
is best for you.
CDC- Consumer Direct Credit
In generic terms, CDC funds capital goods with a
maximum payment term of 48 months, without a grace
period. It allows you to finance up to 80% of the invoice
value, but its market rate is considered to be high,
around 2% to 2.5% per month. In this case, the product
you buy is recorded as an asset in your balance sheet
and is depreciated according to the table established by
the Ministry of Finance. Such depreciation is deductible
in your income tax.
Leasing
This option is very similar to the CDC, but its interest rate
is a little lower, on account of the tax relief that benefits
the Bank and the customer. Leasing works as a rent, so
the company records the expense in its Statement of
Income and may be later deducted in its tax return. The
advantage it presents when comparing with the first
option (above) is merely related to tax purposes.

BNDES FINAME- Special
Agency for Industrial
Financing
Finame is a public company that uses resources
from the BNDES to finance the production
and marketing of brand-new machines and
equipment produced in the country, by offering
up to 6 years to repay the loan and 6 to 12
months as grace period. It finances up to 80%
of the invoice amount at reduced rates around
1.2% per month. Undoubtedly, this is one of
the best lines in the market today. However, as
it is subsidized by the Government and passed
on to customers by commercial banks, it makes
certain demands, such as: funding is offered only
to duly-incorporated Brazilian companies, which
should be in good standing when it comes to the
payment of taxes and the Government Severance
Indemnity Fund; social security contributions
clearance; statements that the company does not
employ minors, does not pollute the environment
and does not use slave labor. Anyway, there is a
number of requirements that must be met, being
the main one the customer credit approval by the
financial institution.
Most companies are used to taking on loans using
the first lines of credit, not realizing the interesting
advantages offered by the latter one.
“Volare’s products fall into
the range of products that
can be financed by FINAME,
thus offering its customers
the possibility of acquiring
them by using the cheapest
lines of credit available
in the country. ”
So, how about taking a look into this credit line,
which will allow you to buy your brand-new Volare
bus? Think about it!
