Mission Statement
The mission of the Monroe County Bar Association is to maintain the
honor and dignity of the profession of the law, to cultivate social
interaction among its members and to increase its usefulness in
promoting the due administration of justice.
In support of its mission, the Monroe County Bar Association shall:
 Provide quality continuing legal education programs;
 Work with the Court and County government to improve
administrative procedures in the Monroe County Court
system and related row offices:
 Provide opportunities for collegiality and networking

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Smithfield
Sewer Authority ("Authority"), a Pennsylvania municipality authority having its registered offices at
1155 Red Fox Road, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania,
has adopted a resolution proposing certain amendments to its Articles of Incorporation.
The Authority has submitted the proposed amendments to the Board of Supervisors of Smithfield
Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania ("Township"), the governing authority of the municipality
which incorporated the Authority; the Township
Board of Supervisors, by Ordinance No. 223, has
adopted and approved the amendment to the Articles
of Incorporation of the Authority; the Authority intends to file Articles of Amendment to its Articles of
Incorporation with the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on Dec. 29, 2015; such Articles of Amendment are to be filed pursuant to the
provisions of the Municipality Authorities Act, 53 Pa.
C.S. §5601 et seq.; and the nature and character of
such proposed amendments are to increase the term
of existence of the Authority by providing that the
term of existence shall end on Nov. 30, 2065 and to
revise Paragraph G of the Articles of Incorporation to
provide as follows:
"The Authority shall have the power to undertake any
project authorized by the Municipality Authorities Act,
including, but not limited to, all facets of storm water
planning, management and implementation, and to
exercise all rights and powers necessary or convenient in connection with authorized projects, including
all rights and powers set forth by the Municipality Authorities Act."
