Dear Members,
Now that the 2009-2010 year has come to a close I want to thank everyone so much
who has helped make this club what it is. I want to thank the outgoing officers. This
year has not been easy but we all hung in there and have moved this club forward. Our
different chairpersons have been wonderful. All the venues that make this breed
so special are being fully represented by our club. Good for us!!!!!

News from the President
We have a new calendar committee chaired by Diane McClurg. She will be getting ideas and dates for
activities and meetings. If someone has an idea or if they'd like to host an event contact Diane.
Chyrel Kennemer is our new AKC public education committee officer. She will be working with AKC in
getting educational materials and programs in our area regarding good pet ownership and educating the
community about AKC.
The numbers still aren't in from the Spring hunt test but I'm pretty comfortable in saying that we made a
profit. Our own Kay Scott and CH Yellow Roses Rio Bravo MH became the 48th CH/MH in the history
of the breed at our test. What a thrill....
The fall hunt test made almost $4000. My Candlewoods TNT Tyra titled for her MH along with Kay
Scott's Yellow Rose's Dixie Bell, UDX, MH. Bell also just acquired her HRCH title this spring.
At the WC we had a good turnout. I've forgotten how many we had qualify. We did have 6 dogs qualify
for our Dog for All Reasons award, I don't remember who they are but if you ask on Yahoo groups I'm sure
all the qualifiers will respond. My Oasis Big Time At Candlewood RN,SH got the award.
We will be having a snake proofing clinic here at the kennel on August 21. Pam Boisvert is in charge of
that event. She'll be posting a clinic form on our Yahoo Groups.
The fall hunt test is always the first weekend of December because that's the split in the duck season. No
point in putting it on if everyone is hunting.... It will be at Pin Oak kennels again with a Saturday night
barbecue. John Boisvert and Chad Gable are the chairs and Melissa May is the secretary.
