1153 1933 Scarce Jim Thorpe Pin
Ex-Mt/NM..... 45
Very tough pin, this is nice as Thorpe was still alive for this
dedication. There is a slight hole on the top, which we believe is present on all of these based on the original means of
issue. Very bright and clean, the front is otherwise a superb
Near Mint with no foxing or other issues.
1154 1930s Notre Dame Football Pinback Ex-Mt......... 60
Scarce pinback, this was produced by a Greenduck Company of Chicago. Bright and well preserved, this has only mild
general wear. This very fun pin is 2 3/4 inches long.
1155 1950 Washington Redskins Pinback

Something we have never seen, this is definitely not politically correct! Offered is the usual 1 1/4 inch Washington

ribbon. From an advanced pin collection obtained decades
ago, it will be interesting to see where this ends up.
1156 Jim Thorpe Memorial Pin w/ribbon NM.............. 75

Rare circa 1962 Chicago Bears football player bobblehead
figure of the scarce variety having round base with integral
N.F.L. Lettering. Made in Japan sticker on bottom of base.
Vg-Excellent condition with faint hairline crack along neckline at base of helmet on the boyish head which is loosened
from the spring. Another small hairline cracks extends
from the bottom of the pant line above the shoes on back
to the top of the left shoe. This is among the scarcest style
of any football nodder. Nodder looks better in person than
described.

Several minor condition flaws including painted finish,
small dent in helmet, light chipping along bottom of head,
neck repaired above shirt collar and small hole in base near
left shoe.
1163 Cardinals Kissin Boy and Girl
Ex-Mt............. 120
Adorable collectible, this is a matched pair of Kissing Boy
and Girl nodders that measure just over five inches high.
One is a football player in uniform, the other his well
dressed girlfriend. The condition is a strong Ex-Mt overall
with no clear defects, cracks or other significant flaws to the
naked eye. We believe this is the St. Louis Cardinals but this
does not have a team name on the uniform, so it could also
be the 49ers or even a potentially rare variation. Very fun
collectible will look great in the right cabinet display.
1164 1965 NY Giants and Jets
Ex-Mt............. 75
Nice matched pair of 7 1/2 inch high round gold base nodders from the mid-1960s, each with NFL sticker on the base,
so these are from the merger series. The Giants player is ExMt or better, the Jets player about Ex with some slight wear
on the reverse of his uniform and there is a crack on the
back of the base. Despite these technical issues, these look
great side-by-side.

1279 1929 World Series Game 2
VG+............... 90
Bright full stub is perfectly separated with full borders,
excellent color and an especially attractive back. An extremely minute crease that can be felt but not seen keeps
this at an awfully nice VG Plus grade overall. Foxx and
Simmons hit home runs in this game that the A’s won 9-3
over the Cubs.
1286 1957 Final Brooklyn Dodgers Ticket (9/24/57)
VG............... 150
Key ticket, almost poignant, as this was the final Brooklyn
Dodgers game played at Ebbetts Field. Condition is a clean
VG, with some fine creasing and general wear, the edges are
crisp, the separation is clean, the back is reasonably clean
and this retains good color. Perfectly acceptable example of
one of the best tickets from this era, this one has been in a
private collection for decades.
1280 1936 All Star Game
VG............... 120
Scarce ticket, this one presents much nicer than its grade.
This has a very clean front, with one very slight crease on
the left side. The back has slight wear by the separation,
otherwise clean as well. Fine looking ticket is something we
hardly ever see.
1287 1957Final Polo Grounds Ticket (9/29/57)
VG-Ex/Ex.... 150
Key ticket, this was the final game for the New York Giants
before departing to San Francisco for the 1958 season (and
onward). Bright and very attractive, this is crisp, clean and
especially colorful with vibrant original coloring. A very
fine crease keeps this at a tough VG-Ex/Ex (again it looks
so much nicer). The back is clean, with just notations about
this game in pencil. Who wants to own a great ticket?
1281 Collection of 66 Red Sox Tickets Ex-Mt............. 90
Box of Red Sox tickets from a very advanced Red Sox collection. There are three vintage Red Sox-Yankee tickets at Yankee Stadium from 1952, 1960 and 1969. The rest are all Red

include 1975 ALCS game 1, 2007 World Series Game 4 PSA
10, 1998 ALCS tickets, Dice K first game, Pesky number
retired, David Ortiz 54 home run record, 86 ALCS game 2,3

1283 1953 1st Milwaukee Braves Game (4/14/53)
VG+............. 100
Possibly rare, we could not find any prior examples of this
ticket at auction. Offered is a pleasing VG Plus stub with
some very fine creasing and general wear at the separation
on the left border. The back is clean, the edges are otherwise
crisp and this has good color. A very widely collected team,
this would make a fine addition to a Braves or 1950s ticket
collection. The Braves won this game 1-0 behind Warren
Spahn.
1284 1953 St. Louis Browns 8/25/53 Full Ticket

1285 1955 1st Kansas City A’s Game (April 12, 1955)
VG................. 50
Another very scarce ticket, this is a clean partial stub with
only some very fine creasing. The color is bright, the edges
are crisp. This was for the historic first game of the 1955
Kansas City Athletics, a proud franchise that morphed into
the Royals after a short exodus to Oakland. This should
be of special interest with how hot the Royals have been in
recent years!

1288 1960Ted Williams Last Game (9/28/60) PSA 1..... 150
One of the most famous games thanks to a unforgettable
John Updike short story (Hub Fans Bid Kid Adieu), offered

went out in dramatic fashion, hitting a home run but he still
refused to acknowledge the crowd with a tip of his hat, as
beautifully described by Updike. Offered is a low grade stub
with the top portion separated (PSA could not put them
together in one holder). Important ticket, from a game that
will not be forgotten by fans of baseball history.

Great, great ticket, offered is a superb full ticket for the first
New York Mets home game in 1962, the Mets first season.
Played at the Polo Grounds, this is a beautiful green and

otherwise Near Mint ticket at a technical VG-Ex. You might

1292 19641st Shea Stadium Full Ticket (4/17/64)
VG-Ex/Ex.... 250
Key ticket, this is a well designed and extremely attractive
full ticket for Opening Day at Shea Stadium in 1964. The
historic first game played at Shea, this has a stray surface
crease but is otherwise Ex-Mt/NM. The corners come to
solid points, the edges are sharp and crisp, and the back is
clean as well. A must-have for a big Mets fan.
1293 19641st Shea Stadium Ticket (4/17/64) Good....... 50

not something you see very often. JSA LOA.

Tough single as George Brett’s brother died in 2003 at age
55. A former 67 Red Sox player, this has a very large blue
ballpoint ink signature on the sweet spot of an unofficial
ball. JSA LOA.

Spotless example of this popular single. 1930s/40s Brooklyn
Dodger, perfect quality, D’97. JSA LOA.

Super low grade ball, JSA did not render an opinion on this
due to the condition. The ball is a Reach Official League
model.
1455 Tony Conigliaro**
5..................................... 150
Not a pure single, there are remants of writing on a panel
that is very minor but we have to assume is another signature. Unofficial toned ball saw game use, this is dated 1963
in period ink. Signed on the sweet spot by Tony C, a fairly
large and pleasing (although certainly not perfect) blue
ballpoint ink autograph. Difficult, even rare single, this will
nicely fill this key hole in many a vintage Boston Red Sox
signed baseball collection. JSA LOA.

8................... 200
Very desirable ball from the second Bronx Zoo Yankee era
World Championship team, these are not easy to find with
no clubhouse autographs. From a long-term Yankee collector who was active at the time, this is a special ball that
has not been to market. Toned period ball may have seen
some slight game use. There are a full 25 period blue ink
signatures. This is a special ball as it has a real Munson from
the year before he died, a fine Reggie Jackson on one seal,
a real Billy Martin (only George Steinbrenner is secretarial
according to JSA). It is doubtful many balls like this exist.
Other signatures include the desirable Elston Howard, Berra, Gossage, Rizzuto, Nettles, Lyle, Randolph and Pinella.
