Atthebeginningofthissemester,PublicHealthandHealthSciencesbeganto
hosttheFlintWaterCrisisCourse,opentostudentsandcommunitymembers
alike.Theseeight,two-hourFlintWaterCrisisCoursesessionsfeaturemultiple
expertpanelistpresentations,followedbyaudienceinteractionandquestions.
Becauseofthedepartmentplayingsuchamonumentalroleinhostingmanyof
thetopexpertsinboththecommunityandcountry,weareabletofurther
implementourgoalofbringingawarenesstothispublichealthemergency.
Withcrowdsupwardsof170attendeeseachofthefirstthreeweeks,the
responsehasbeenbothunprecedentedandgroundbreaking.Withmanygreat
panelistsscheduledtoappearfortheremainderofthedates,weanticipate
participationandattendancetosustainatthesehighlevels.
