Denise Sieff, Ensemble
Denise made her ACT debut in our recent production of “Station
KACT’s Old Time Radio Show.” She comes to us with richly talented
background. She also sings with a band in the local area and is a
devoted mother. During the day, Denise works for the Kansas
Department of Revenue.
Kathy Slawson, Ensemble
One of the founding members of ACT, Kathy is a past board
member and has performed in a number of productions both here
and around the area. ACT audiences will remember her as one of
the Aubergines, the singing trio from “Station KACT’s Old Time
Radio Show.” She also played the mother in “The Fantasticks” and
was one of the company in “Talking With.” Ouiser in “Steel Magnolias”
showcased her inner cranky self. An active member of Grace Episcopal
Cathedral, she sings with their choir.
Kelly Stites, Specialty Dancer
Another founder of ACT and past board member, Kelly has just
recently taken time away from the theater to earn her degree as a
licensed practical nurse. A versatile talent, She has played many
different roles in productions at ACT from comedy, singing, dancing
and drama. Some of the shows she has appeared in include “Station
KACT’s Old Time Radio Show,” “Blithe Spirit,” “Talking With,” “The
Fantasticks,” “Steel Magnolias,” “Jerry’s Girls,” “The Curious Savage,” “Breath of
Spring,” “Play On,” and “The Gingerbread Inn” to name a few.
Jeni Thomas, Ensemble
Jeni has been seen previously at ACT as a soul singer in “Jesus
Christ Superstar,” Sister Robert Ann in “Nunsense,” the hard
working stage manager in “Noises Off,” and a baton twirler in
“Talking With.” A very talented performer Jeni was most recently
seen as a tap dancing chimney sweep in this past summer’s TCTA
production of “Mary
Poppins.”

Who’s Who in the Company
Rob Banks, Ensemble
Rob returns to ACT in another onstage role. He was last seen at the
keyboard as Liberaunchy in “Station KACT’s Old Time Radio Show.”
Earlier in the season he also played Schroeder in “You’re a Good
Man, Charlie Brown.” In the past Rob has played in our orchestra,
most notably as harpist for “The Fantasticks.” He spends his days as
Chief Operations Officer of the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library and is
the retired harpist from the Topeka Symphony Orchestra.
Tonia Hunter, the Usherette
This is Tonia’s second production with ACT. Last season she graced
our stage as one of the ensemble singers in “Jesus Christ Superstar.”
She joins the cast with a rich knowledge of many of the songs in this
show, having seen almost all of these films. Tonia also sings with her
church and teaches as a substitute in the Burlingame School District
and with Sylvan Learning Center.
Ken Liddle, Specialty Dancer
Since moving to Kansas in June 2013, Ken has kept busy
volunteering at ACT. He has been seen onstage in “Station KACT’s
Old Time Radio Show,” “Butterflies Are Free,” “You’re a Good Man,
Charlie Brown,” and “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Backstage Ken has
built scenery for “Noises Off,” “Deathtrap,” “Charlie Brown,”
“Butterflies Are Free” and has designed the sets for this show and
two of next season’s productions. When not volunteering at ACT he is co-owner
of The Enchanted Willow in Topeka.
Levi Ludwick, Ensemble
Audiences may remember Levi’s earlier role this season at ACT as
the young blind man in “Butterflies Are Free.” He also made a cameo
appearance in one performance of “Station KACT’s Old Time Radio
Show.” Last season Levi played Peter in the hit production of “Jesus
Christ Superstar.” Married to our stage manager, Levi is the father of
triplets and comes from a musical family.
Emilie Lunsford, Ensemble
An active member of the Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church,
Emilie is also a member of the Shawnee Choral Society for over 10
years. She was last seen as the surly intern in “Station KACT’s Old
Time Radio Show.” Earlier this season she directed “You’re a Good
Man, Charlie Brown” and was murdered onstage in ACT’s
production of “Deathtrap.” Prior to that she was a soul singer in “Jesus Christ
Superstar.” Emilie is also the Vice President of the ACT board of directors.
Sarah Sharkey, Ensemble
Audiences may remember Sarah from many of her previous roles at
ACT. She gave an astounding performance as Mary Magdelene in
“Jesus Christ Superstar” last season. She also appeared as a multitude
of characters in ACT's “Every Christmas Story Ever Told” and this year
she has performed in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” and “Station
KACT’s Old Time Radio Show.” Sarah is a graduate of Washburn University and
currently works for Washburn Institute of Technology.

Who’s Who in the Company
Director – Bert Miller
Artistic Director of ACT, Bert has directed and designed many
shows over the past several years. Prior to his work at ACT he
earned an MA in Theatre Administration from Emporia State
University and performed, directed or worked backstage at
Showcase Dinner Theatre in Topeka, Hayden High School,
Topeka Civic Theatre, Washburn University Theatre, and Helen
Hocker Theatre. Occasionally taking a tour on stage, he most
recently performed as that funny round headed kid in our production of
“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” This is his 39th production with ACT.
Musical Director – James Mosher
Classically trained in voice and oboe, Jim is a professional
musician in the Topeka area. Although rarely seen on stage
(the last time was in “For the Troops 2009”) he is active in every
show. He can be caught helping building sets, hanging lights, or
behind the piano coaching the singers and wielding a baton in
front of the orchestra. He recently directed and conducted
ACT’s production of “Jesus Christ Superstar.” In this show he
doubles as musical director and an orchestra member, playing harp,
recorders and a plethora of instruments.
Stage Manager – Stephanie Ludwick
Stephanie has graced our stage as a singer in “Every Christmas
Story Ever Told,” a few years ago. Since then she has worked
backstage on several of our productions, stage managing “Jesus
Christ Superstar,” and assistant stage managing “You’re a Good
Man, Charlie Brown” and “Deathtrap.” Despite being a mother of
three small toddler triplets, she still manages to have energy to
chase after 10 actors and number of backstage crew. Wow!
