The hippy-myth never faded in the green hills above lake Orta. In Coiromonte, a small village near Armeno, lives the Mirapuri
community young with the sounds, colors and lifestyle of the flowerchildren. The inspiration behind the endeavour is Michel
Montecrossa, a strong and respected personality with beard, long hair and tatoos: A real master of rock.
The meetingpoint of the hippies of the third millennium is the Omnidiet Resort and Business Hotel where Michel and his band ‘The
Chosen Few’ play every Saturday.
The bandmembers are Mirakali and Diana, also known as ‘The Fabulous Sound Sisters’, and David Butterfield. The AmericanEuropean band is signed to the Mira Sound Germany label.
On the top of the cusianic hills they created a veritable garden of eden where they live the music and ideals of the hippy-feel.
Every year the Omnidiet becomes the center of the ‘Spirit of Woodstock Festival’ presenting during three days and nights a great
variety of rockbands, being an important attraction for the youth of Piemont. The music event also includes the Miss and Mister Rock
‘n’ Roll Election, beerfest, fashion, grillparty, picnic, games and other entertainments …
“I started the Spirit of Woodstock Festivals in August 1993“, says Michel. “Since then every year a new spirit of music of courage
and hope, sweetness of soul and strength of joy reaches out for the future. The Spirit of Woodstock Festivals are creative with the
mighty dream of Unity, Love and Freedom. Guest musicians from all over the world come together to play and sing along with us and
an enthusiastic audience for three days and nights every year in the first week of August. Since its inception in 1993 the Spirit of
Woodstock Festivals at Mirapuri have developed into a great cultural event with international flair and an inimitable atmosphere of
Love and Joy.“
The bands performing at the Spirit of Woodstock Festival represent the hottest acts and music styles both of the national and
international scenes …
They are on stage along with Michel Montecrossa and the native American-European Mirakali and Diana Antara as well as guitarplayer David Butterfield who says: “It was always my great dream to become a musician. I started early playing guitar, and soon
began to develop my own musical ideas.
Continuing like this I fortunately had the chance to join Michel Montecrossa's band 'The Chosen Few' as a guitar-player. Here the
speed of musical development began to increase. I took up singing and writing songs, which I perform together with the band on our
concerts. For me music is original when it springs direct from life and I refuse to limit myself to any musical category.“

I was born in Istanbul between Asia and Europe in 1971. I started singing when I was five with
a hair brush. My mom and dad decided to make me a musician and sent me to the child choir
of Turkish Radio&Television. After my seventh birthday I started to learn singing and music. In
high school I joined our school band and performed rock covers in some contests. The results
were not bad, I was 3rd and 1st. In university I preferred State Conservatory of Istanbul
University. For four years I studied opera. During that time I also sang Jazz, Rock and Pop in
wellknown clubs and performed TV jingles. In 1991 I signed my first contract with Raks Record
Company. The producers decided to make me a pop singer and they succeeded. My debut
album sold nearly 100.000 in Turkey. After many concerts I went to London and met my first real
singing coach Robert Bricknell. I studied with him for three months. Then I had to return to
Turkey to record my second album. It sold 250.000 times and I became one of the most popular
singers of Turkey. In 1997 my agreement ended. I founded my own company named Arinna and
worked as singer, producer, A&R, lyric writer and manager. I also changed my music style. I
would not sing pop songs anymore. I had the chance to do what I wanted: ROCK. The last
album sold 30.000 but I was happy about my music. The first video of this album directed by
Charles Richards was shown by MCM during six months. Now I signed a new contract with Bay
Music Company. They respect and care about my music in Turkey. We are working on our new
album. I hope it will be released in August.
I married the bass player Levent. My husband also writes beautiful songs and playes with me
on stage. When I don't sing I join rallies (including 1999 International Rally of Turkey) as co-pilot.

Mia mamma e il mio papà hanno deciso di
farmi diventare musicista e mi hanno
mandato in un coro di bambini di Radio &
Televisione turca. Dopo il mio settimo
compleanno ho imparato a cantare e a fare
musica. Nella scuola superiore ho fatto parte del
gruppo della scuola e in alcuni contesti ho
realizzato rock covers. I risultati non erano brutti,
ero terza e prima. Dopo le superiori ho scelto il
Conservatorio di Stato dell’Università di Istanbul. Per
4 anni ho studiato opera lirica. In quel periodo ho anche
cantato jazz, rock e pop in clubs noti e ho realizzato TV
jingels. Nel 1991 ho firmato il mio primo contratto con la
Raks Record Company. Il produttore ha deciso di farmi
fare una cantante pop e ha avuto ragione. Sono state
vendute quasi 100.000 copie del mio primo disco in Turchia.
Dopo molti concerti sono andata a Londra dove ho incontrato

con lui per 3 mesi, poi sono tornata in Turchia per registrare il

diventata una delle piu famose cantanti turche. Nel 1997 è scaduto
il mio contratto. Ho fondato la mia propria compagnia chiamata
Arinna e ho lavorato come cantante, produttrice, A&R, compositore
e manager. Ho anche cambiato il mio stile musicale. Non voglio più
cantare canzoni pop. Ho dovuto fare una scelta: ROCK. Dell’ultimo
disco sono state vendute 30.000 copie ma sono soddisfatta della mia
musica. Il primo video di questo album, che è stato diretto da Charles
Richards, è stato fatto vedere da MCM per 6 mesi. Ora ho firmato un
nuovo contratto con Bay Music Company. Loro rispettano e stimano la mia
musica in Turchia. Stiamo lavorando ad un nuovo disco. Spero che sia
realizzato entro agosto.
Ho sposato il bassista Levent. Anche mio marito scrive bellissime canzoni e
suona con me. Se non canto partecipo ai rallies (incluso 1999 International Rally
of Turkey) come navigatrice.

Vildek-Staff are sisters born in
Tatarstan and educated at the
Music Academy in Kazan. The
family is steeped in musical
tradition with their mother
receiving high accolades in
Russia as a singing and music
teacher. Robert Staff is English. The group is based
in Cyprus.
Vlada Vildek:
A vivacious, attractive, accomplished singer and
pianist, Vlada, aged 27, is the dynamic soloist
whose voice is as pure and clear as a mountain
spring. Her powerful range of tone is superb and
she is a comfortable singer in English and French
and, of course her native tongue, Russian.
Marina Vildek-Staff:
Marina, ten years older than her sister, is the
inspiration behind the group. An extremely versatile
pianist and guitarist she was the lead violinist with
the Petrasavosk Symphony Orchestra for seven
years. For the last 3 years, Marina has been
composing melodies and now has a repertoire of
some 25 new songs for publication, considered
being 'neo pop-classical'. Marina is an experienced
singer in her own right, with even greater range, and
is providing the backing vocal.
Robert Staff:
Robert is the administrator, with an extensive
career in management and marketing in the UK,
Europe, the Far East and Australasia. He has
written two novels. Robert writes the lyrics for the
melodies composed by Marina.

La nostra musica è, per me, la mia vita. Come il
fuoco: forte e calda. Il sogno che tocca nel cuore
profondo e l'energia, che incita e che fa diventare
contenti, nella quale ci si sente bene. Divertente suonare Rock 'n' Roll selvaggio e sprofondare nell'atomosfera di canzoni romantiche o Space-Rock. Come
cantante cerco di esprimere il sogno dell'amore e
momenti di esperienze della vita. La musica è per me
come una chiave, ti porta nuove idee, sveglia sentimenti nascosti o ti prende.
Il gruppo:
Vlada Vildek e Marina Vildek-Staff sono due
sorelle nate in Tatarstan e sono state educate
alla Music Academy at Kazan. La famiglia è

Marina.

Hailing from Slovenia, Noxire released their 1st LP
‘Memento Meretricious’ in 1993. It was recorded in
‘butterfly’ studio and mixed in D.V.A.P. self production.
There are 15 songs on the 1st CD, presenting
experimental and progressive styles of music. In 1995
they started recording songs for their 2nd album,
named ‘Inter Genius’. ‘Inter Genius’ contains different
music styles. There are 11 songs on ‘Inter Genius’. It
was recorded and mixed at ‘coda’ publishing. In April
1998 Noxire recorded the song ‘Last Words’. The
single was presented live on national TV, in the music
show ‘Pomp’. Noxire has prepared 14 new songs for
the 3rd CD to be recorded in near future. The songs
are ‘kinder’ and easier to listen to, compared to the
songs from the 1st and 2nd CD. The rhythms are
straight, guitar riffs and the vocal are more direct and
melodic, so the songs are suitable for a wide group of
music lovers. Noxire are looking for record labels and
contacts.

Salutando dalla Slovenia, Noxire registrarono il loro

The group was created 1998 in Minsk. ‘Bez Bileta’ (‘Ticketless’) is one of the representatives of new wave
groups of Belorus. ‘Bez Bileta’ unites in its music traditional ancient Belorussian tunes and modern
sounds. After the band was joined by beautiful Kseniya who plays violin, the music of ‘Bez Bileta’ achieved
a unique folk drive and new range of expression. During autumn 1999 ‘Bez Bileta’ recorded its first demo
single which contains 4 songs. In 1999 the group successfully participated in two international musical
festivals: ‘Belarus 99’ in Verhnedvinsk (Belarus) and ‘Spirit of Woodstock Festival 1999 in Mirapuri, Italy’.
By participating in these festivals, the band found lots of new friends and learnt a lot about world rock
music. In winter 1999 the group was joined by a new talented sound producer - Dmitry Karshakevich. At
present the band works out its first full-format album ‘Operation Concert’ which is planned to be released
mid 2000.
Il gruppo fu creato nel 1998 in Minsk. ‘Bez Bileta’ (Senza Biglietto) è uno dei gruppi new wave bielorussi
più rappresentativi. ‘Bez Bileta’ hanno unito nella loro musica antiche melodie tradizionali bielorusse e
suoni moderni. Dopo che si è aggiunto al gruppo la bellissima Kseniya che suona il violino, la musica dei
‘Bez Bileta’ ha raggiunto un unico folk drive e un nuovo grado di espressione. Durante l’autunno 1999 i
‘Bez Bileta’ hanno registrato il loro primo demo-single che contiene 4 canzoni. Nel 1999 il gruppo ha
patecipato con successo a due festival musicali internazionali: ‘Belorus 99’ a Verhnedvinsk (Bielorussia) e

to increase. I took up singing
and writing songs, which I
perform together with the
band on our concerts. For me
music is original when it
springs direct from life and I
refuse to limit myself to any
musical category. What I sing
and play are my thoughts,
feelings and dreams. Thus
making music connects me
to the people and lifeenvironments that are the
theme of my songs. Music is
to pass on a great dream and
my songs are the way how I
want to pass it on.
È sempre stato un mio grande sogno diventare musicista. Ho cominciato presto a suonare la
chitarra e ho iniziato, dopo un po' di tempo, a sviluppare proprie idee musicali. Andando avanti così
fino a quando ho potuto fare il chitarrista nel gruppo di Michel Montecrossa ‘The Chosen Few’. Qui
si è accelerato il mio sviluppo e ho cominciato a scrivere canzoni con testi in inglese, che oggi
suono durante le nostre esibizioni con il gruppo. Siccome per me la musica, se è vera, salta
sempre direttamente fuori dalla propria vita, non c'è nessun genere di musica al quale voglio
essere attribuito. Quello che canto e suono sono i miei pensieri, sentimenti e sogni; e fare musica
vuol dire, per me, essere in collegamento con gli uomini e gli avvenimenti dei quale canto. Inoltre
vedo la musica come trasmissione di sogni e le mie canzoni sono il modo con il quale li voglio
trasmettere.
