The students:

went on a school tour to understand how
their school is organised and structured to suit the needs of the community

discussed form—the school structure,
function (the way it works) and responsibility (our responsibility towards it)



read the book “Shopping” and discussed how and why shopping malls and
markets are organised to serve the needs
of the community
read the book “Jobs People Do” followed by oral comprehension



In continuation with the lessons on MS Word, students explored and practiced the functions of the following tools in MS

Students were taken on a tour of our school, to show them different technologies at use for smooth functioning of an organization.
In the PE Class….
The students practiced :

forward and backward running on the
tracks

how to catch a ball with one bounce

soccer

obstacle race using hurdles and hoops
In Music Class….

Students rehearsed the song “Holi
Ayee Re” for the approaching festival of Holi

Please note that as a part of the unit of inquiry “How we organise ourselves”, the students of Grade I will be going on a
field trip to the Delhi Zoo on Wednesday (27/02/13), during
