Nancy Becker
Nancy Becker is an artist working primarily in the
medium of glass. She has a wide range of skills and
techniques which she uses to communicate her
absolute love of the natural world. Color, texture
and attention to detail mark her pieces. “Art is a
language, a communication everyone knows at a
deep level and I love to speak that language. My
main art vocabulary exists in glass – a complex and
mesmerizing material. Glass is either a solid or a
liquid, changing properties as it changes temperature,
it offers unusual challenges.”
Remembrance Art Glass designed by award winning glass artist, Nancy Becker, are
individually designed to help preserve special memories of family, friends or pets in a
visually beautiful and tangible way, incorporating a small amount of cremated remains in

Featured Oregon Artist
David Helfrich
Dave Helfrich is an artist of the Willamette
Valley, working in the medium of Oregon grown
hardwoods. “My inspiration comes from the
natural beauty of the wood’s grain. Each piece
is unique and beautiful and as it transforms into
one of my hand made wood urns, that unique
character is exposed. I’m proud of every piece
that leaves my shop.”
Dave created his first wood piece in 1976 when
he made a cabinet for a neighbor. He started
out with basic tools: a router, a shop smith and
an electric drill. In 1978, Dave built his first
woodworking shop and he hasn’t stopped making beautiful pieces of art since. Dave and his
wife, Bunny, owned a retail shop in Albany called “Bunny’s.” Both Dave and Bunny created
artistic pieces for the store and Dave’s woodwork mostly consisted of duck decoys and jewelry
boxes. Today, Dave makes a variety of shapes and sizes of cremation urns. His favorite woods
are Myrtle, Ash, Maple, Walnut, Oregon Oak and Alder.
