Over 20 years ago JETSEAL began as a small manufacturer of metallic seals to the aerospace industry. Today, JETSEAL has evolved to become a leader in providing sealing solutions to many industries demanding absolute dependability in quality, reliability and performance. Whether your company is seeking a standard item such as an E-Seal or C-Seal, or a custom metallic seal configuration specifically engineered and designed to fit and function within your hardware, our team of engineers is trained to solve difficult sealing issues. Please visit us at www.jetseal.com or call (509) 467-9133. Aside from the standard metal C-Seals and E-Seals, our R&D efforts have elevated JETSEAL to become a turn-key provider of custom sealing designs made specifically to meet our customer’s rigorous sealing requirements. Whether your company is in the semiconductor industry, aerospace, oil and gas exploration & drilling, power generation or general industrial, our seals can be found sealing in harsh environments where temperature or pressures would exceed the limits of rubber or polymer type seals. Seal designs are typically made of Stainless, Inconel 718, Inconel X-750, Waspaloy, Haynes, Rene and other high temperature materials. The E-Seal, also known to some as the WSeal, is a proven design that exhibits low to moderate sealing force. The E-Seal works well for high temperature environments where moderate thermal movement of the flanges is expected. The E-seal, when properly sized, can maintain contact throughout the differential growth differences of the hardware. E-Seals come in a variety of cross sections and can have a single convolute (as shown below) or up to 13 convolutions. They can have sealing forces as low as 5lbs/in/circ upwards to 50lbs/in/circ, can be made 1 inch to 12 feet in diameter, and in linear or other shaped lengths. JETSEAL’s C-Seal is the most cost effective solution for a wide variety of applications. Depending on both the material thickness and cross section, the C-Seal can exhibit sealing forces ranging from 75lbs/in/circ up to 400lbs/in/circ. With these higher seating loads, the C-Seal is an ideal choice for applications requiring bubble tight leakage when plated. The C-Seal is available in a variety of standard cross sections, materials and virtually any diameter. The patented Lever Seal is an enhancement to the popular E-Seal. Although similar in appearance, the Lever Seal exhibits approximately 30% better spring back properties with all conditions equal. The patented design of the seal’s legs and arms allow this seal to redistribute the stresses throughout the material during compression, reducing the concentration of high stress typically found at the convolute of the traditional E-Seal. With lower stresses, the Lever Seal can be compressed further than the standard E-Seal with full recovery. So if you have large thermal flange movements that would cause the multi-convolution E-Seal to take a plastic set or yield, a great solution is JETSEAL’s Lever Seal. Creating seals that are in segments or split sometimes are preferable from either an installation standpoint or they are necessary for the radial growth occurring in the flanges. JETSEAL incorporates a special “slip joint” to reduce leakage to the smallest effective gap possible at the seal’s split. JETSEAL’s “slip joint” does not include any welded components. This eliminates failures due to pieces breaking away or cracked welds. Pre-Compressed Seals provide a temporary method of compressing a seal down below the installation height while maintaining it’s full elasticity. This feature allows for easy installation of the seal into an already closed groove. These seals are typically sold in segments or in shaped linear lengths. At JETSEAL we use a special epoxy formulation designed to release the seal at a specified temperature and dissipate completely without any harmful outgassing or by-products. Omega Seals are best suited for critical low leakage rate applications. These extremely high load seals are best suited for equipment having enough available bolt load (approx. 600 lbs/in/circ) to effectively create an extremely leak tight joint. The Omega Seal outperforms many more complex seals without resorting to spring-energized or machined features. JETSEAL is the world’s leading manufacturer of Omega Seals. Because the V-Seal has one of the lowest leakage rates of all seals available, it’s best used in low leakage rate applications where the joint will remain undisturbed for a long time. When its flat-lapped faces are deflected at installation, the V-Seal presents wide-angle knife edges to the sealing surfaces of the mating cavity components. Customers will achieve excellent sealing results with surface finishes of 16 micro inches (0.4 microns) or better, accompanied with soft plating. This seal is an excellent choice for vacuum applications. These Vacuum Gaskets are an ideal choice when ultra low leakage is essential. With a raised bead on both sides of the gasket, this type of seal is specifically designed for use in the semi-conductor industry when vacuum and ultra clean environments are necessary. The Translational Seal is designed for use in applications where moderate linear motion occurs. Typical applications would be a piston mount application where the seal slides up and down in a bore. The advantage over the traditional piston ring is seen in reduced leakage. JETSEAL is the world leader in designing and manufacturing Axial Seals. Unlike face seals, the axial seal is specifically designed to seal against an ID and OD of the hardware. Axial Seals are ideal in accommodating limited rotational or linear movements such as those found on stem valves. Since Axial Seals are metallic, they are ideal for use in cryogenics or superheated steam. Sizes can range from .250” up to 65” diameter. JETSEAL’s Patented Super C-Seal is designed to replace traditional C-Seals in applications requiring enhanced springback. Its onepiece design combines increased springback with higher load for a tighter seal, enhancing both pressure and temperature performance. You can replace existing C-Seals without modifying the cavity. These tubular seals are commonly used to join or engage two cylindrical type tubes together that may display low to moderate relative movements. JETSEAL manufactures a large variety of widths and lengths to meet customer specifications. JETSEAL can supply the full range of couplings, seals and flanges from 1” to 7.5” as a standard. Custom sizes or designs can also be manufactured to customer specifications. Made by the thousands, our Feather Seals are made to tight tolerances and various materials of construction to create a leak tight connection between tight joints or shroud assemblies JETSEAL custom machines Valve Seats of all sizes, material, and configurations to specified tolerances. Our machined seats are in use in a wide variety of valve designs in many industries. At JETSEAL we maintain tight tolerances to ensure minimal clearance for the lowest leakage possible of any Labyrinth Seal on the market. We manufacture Labyrinth Seals in just about any diameter and material specified by our customer. If cutting a groove into your hardware to house a seal is not an option, JETSEAL manufactures Limiter Plates to use as a centering device and to properly compress the seal to exact tolerances for optimum seal performance. JETSEAL’s metallic piston rings are designed for applications that demand superior wear resistance. We offer a wide variety of sizes and materials that can be cut in many styles and gap configurations. JETSEAL’s patent pending Sensor Pass Throughs were invented to quickly and easily pass multiple sensor wires, thermocouples, pressure tubes, data cables, etc., through an engine case or test rig quickly and easily for a leak tight fit. Our Sensor Pass Throughs can handle as many as 120 sensor wires ranging in various sizes and are ASME Boiler & Pressure-vessel rated to 850°F and 500psi. Our Pass Throughs are the answer if you want to eliminate the cure time or headache of having to stuff packing materials, cement or epoxy. Simply bolt the Sensor Pass Through on to a standard NPT threaded connection or other connector type (as specified by the customer), pull the wires through, bolt on the cap and you are done. • Our in-house engineering staff has the experience, tool-making capabilities, and raw materials CAVITY O.D.
