ANOTHER GREAT TIME ON THE EMERALD COAST!
We are all set for another fantastic Emerald Coast Volleyball Week right here on the best beaches in the
world! Just as it has been for the past few years our Presenting Sponsor is the Emerald Coast Convention and
Visitors Bureau. They are very supportive of all our Emerald Coast Volleyball events so whenever you think
about coming to the beach (or telling anyone else to come to the beach), think of the “Heart of the Emerald
Coast”!
REGISTER ONLINE!
Registration for the Fudpucker 4 Player tournament will be online on our website, www.emeraldcoastvolleyball.com.
Simply click on the link to the “Registration Page” and follow the instructions. Shortly after you have completed your
online registration, you will receive a confirmation email from us confirming your entry.
If you don’t know all of your team members’ names, simply type “TBA” in the name field. NO refunds for withdrawals the week of the tournament.
Registration for the weekday tournaments will be onsite the day of the event and will be “CASH ONLY!”
PARTY UPDATES!
Here are the latest changes to our party schedule.
The Wednesday night party returns to The Boardwalk immediately adjacent to The Black Pearl. Robby Walton will
be onstage, catered by The Black Pearl,
drink specials from The Swamp, beach
games, and a big SURPRIZE! If you
don’t get here early you’ll miss it.
Thursday night we will be back at Helen Back on the island
for the best pizza and coldest beer around. Everybody loves
to go to Helen Back!
On Friday night at Fuds in Destin we are
moving DJ Roueche to the Down Under Bar
to rock the party downstairs while Boukou
Groove will be playing Reggae Funk outside
on the deck.
Saturday night brings the Granddaddy of volley parties at The
Swamp. Fr ee food, Hall of
Fame, live music and DJ
Roueche, its simply the BEST!
Sunday night brings us to Fuds on the Island
for our Wind Down Party. DJ Roueche will
once again be setting the tone for us while
Fuds will be serving up their world famous
gator gumbo and breaking out their hot dog
cart as well. There will also be games in the parking lot so
“Don’t be a Weinie, Have a Hot Dog!”
COSTUME CONTEST NEWS! $1,000 FIRST PRIZE!
After our failed experiment last fall moving the Costume
Contest to Saturday night we
have decided to up the ante! In
order to encourage more teams
to enter we are offering a first
place prize of $1,000.
The contest will once again be
held on Center Court between
the Women’s and Men’s Open
Finals.
We encourage all participants to “Get Creative!” this spring
and “Take Home the Moolah!” Just remember it will be
held in a public place so please, don’t go all Miley Cyrus on
us.
HALL OF FAME!
Each year we recognize people, teams, groups (and even
states) who have made a positive impact on our events by
inducting them into the Emerald Coast Volleyball Hall of
Fame. This spring, the induction ceremony will be held on
the stage at The Swamp at 9:00. Please help us out by letting us know who you believe is deserving of this recognition. If you have a nomination please send it with a brief
description to Mike at [email protected].
EMERALD COAST VOLLEYBALL JUNIORS OPEN!
Looking ahead to the weekend of May 16-17,
we will once again be holding a Junior Fuds
tournament at The Boardwalk. The format
will be four player on Saturday and doubles
on Sunday. For the Junior Fuds event all
players must be USA Volleyball members.
All current information about the event is available on our
website, including a list of all teams entered into the Fudpucker 4 Player. We will also post the pool assignments the
week of the tournament, the playoff brackets Saturday
night, and the tournament winners throughout the week.

Spalding volleyball will be back

official tournament ball. We will

We will once again be taking reservations
for Center Court chairs in the tournament
office starting on Friday morning. Deede
