Many collectors are familiar with Dick Frantz, the company’s beloved

company. Dick’s Steiff knowledge is truly remarkable, and his passion
for all things button-in-ear is contagious. He is a true friend and mentor
to the Steiff collecting community. His energy, thoughtfulness, and ideas
will be missed at Steiff events, in the media, and around the product
development table. We spoke with Dick just after his final Steiff event
to hear about his history with the company, as well as to learn about his
plans for the future. Here’s what he had to say.
