In 1978, nine members of the Destin Charter Boat Association
Women’s Auxiliary planned and hosted the 1st Destin Seafood Festival
as a fundraiser for the Charter Boat Association and to promote
deep sea fishing in Destin.
Our #1 goal continues to be the same concept as it was 38 years
ago. A festival that showcases our fishing boats, our harbor and our
community. A FREE Festival that is family friendly with high quality
arts and craft vendors and of course lots and lots of seafood! We
hope you and your family have a great time and support the Festival by
purchasing your refreshments from one of the Festival refreshment tents.
The Destin Seafood Festival is sponsored by our local business
community, our generous property hosts, the great harbor restaurants
and the Destin Charter Boat Association.

That 1st year we sold homemade
gumbo and fried fish, had ring toss
games for the kids and sold beer out
of the back of a pickup truck! We
loved it and the community loved it!
Now 38 years later our little festival
has grown to encompass the
entire Destin Harbor Boardwalk
with something for everyone.
Lots of great seafood choices,
music on multiple stages, quality
entertainment for kids of all ages.
You can watch the charter boats unload their
catches daily and see the daily weigh-ins and Miss Destin at the
68th Annual Destin Fishing Rodeo.

The 38th Annual Destin Seafood Festival

Festival highlights include fresh, local seafood,
live music on multiple stages,

zones, family fun, a fireworks

at the Destin Harbor Boardwalk,
extending from HarborWalk
Village at the foot of the Destin
Bridge along the water to Heron Harbor.
