PowerDome for Images and
Video
The imaging computer system is also supplied
by Carl Zeiss. PowerDome is a PC cluster tailored to the output of image and audio data
on the dome. Image allocation to the individual channels, distortion correction and
edge blending computations are performed
in real time. PowerDome also provides the
connection with the opto-mechanical planetarium projectors from Carl Zeiss, thus permitting the synchronized control of both systems – the planetarium projector and
4DOME.
