RG Competences The React Group deals with the various dynamical, cognitive and social aspects of Human-Computer and Human-Device Interaction Current research Coordination Systems for optimal and reactive control of distributed devices where the dynamics matters, with application to autonomous transportation systems, astrometry, insulin delivery for the treatment of diabetes, as well as remote experimentation. The underlying academic disciplines are Optimal Control, Human-Machine Systems, as well as Cyber Physical Systems. Interaction Systems is on agile social media platforms where utility, usability and appropriation matter, with application to online education and knowledge management. The underlying academic disciplines are Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Engineering Education Research, and Technology Enhanced Learning (e-Learning). PhD React is affiliated with the EPFL doctoral programmes in Computer 06-02-16 and Communication 9 Sciences (EDIC), Electrical Engineering (EDEE), as well as Manufacturing Sysetms and Robotics (EDPR). Dr Denis Gillet head of RG MER, Dr., Senior Member IEEE and Member ACM Wissam Halimi Doctoral Assistant Go – Lab Learning by experience http://www.go-lab-project.eu/ The Go-Lab Project (Global Online Science Labs for Inquiry Learning at School) opens up online science laboratories (remote and virtual labs) for the large-scale use in school education. The overall aim of the project is to encourage young people aged from 10 to 18 to engage in science topics, acquire scientific inquiry skills, and experience the culture of doing science by undertaking active guided experimentation. - See more at: http://www.go-lab-project.eu/#sthash.RHcbKCOm.dpuf http://www.golabz.eu/ 06-02-16 10 SCOPES 2016 EWBRLCI, Serbia 2016 January 28 - 29 University of Trnava - UT Faculties: Faculty of Arts Faculty of Education Faculty of Health Care and Social Work Faculty of Theology 06-02-16 Faculty of Law 11 SCOPES 2016 EWBRLCI, Serbia 2016 January 28 - 29 Faculty of Education - FE REMLABNET The Remote Laboratory Management System (RLMS), REMLABNET, for the integrating and management of remote experiments for starting university level and secondary schools, is presented. Its building was initiated both from the extensive use and expertise in Internet School Experimental System (ISES), remote experiments built and the lack of a similar system for secondary schools in Europe. RLMS is built using new components, designed for the purpose, as web space management, data warehouse, communication board of RLMS, etc. The communication server will provide beside connection and diagnostics services also services for the teacher´s comfort as white board, IP telephony, simulation inclusion, test management and reservation management. For the sake of safety, optimal access to all experiments and economical exploitation the virtualized cloud will be used. 06-02-16 12 Assoc.
