His calm demeanour and friendly nature not only make him a wonderful companion dog, but these qualities were also exactly what the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind were looking for in a “seeing eye dog.” Unfortunately, Mark did not quite make the grade as he was a little too friendly and a little too interested in the world around him. As a second career option, Marcus accepted his current position as Director of Pet Relations, at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. What a sweet gig! Join one of our professional photographers for a photo taking seminar or private lesson. Classes available include: How to Shoot Sunsets and Sunrises, Photo Composition, How to HDR, Basic Digital Photography and how to use all those manual settings on your camera! Custom programs are also available for private lessons and groups of all sizes. Likes: Everything, especially fetch! Like all Labrador Retrievers, Marcus loves to play fetch. His boundless energy will wear out even the most seasoned throwing arm. On returning to his playmate, Mark will toss the toy back or drop it at his friend’s feet for the next throw. Dislikes: We haven’t come across anything yet that Mark doesn’t like - cats, dogs, rabbits, children, old folks, hiking, sleeping, swimming, Mark loves it all! Hikes: Mark truly enjoys a leisurely stroll along the lakeside. He enjoys a brisk walk, especially in the cool of the morning. After almost 6 years of being trained to walk on a leash, Marcus rarely gets up to jogging speed while on leash. Please contact the Concierge to sign up to walk Marcus from Monday-Friday. 30 minute in-store seminar: FREE must reserve in advance Cost: 1-hour private lesson: $150.00 4-hour private lesson: $500.00 Full day (8 hours): $800.00 PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY: 30 minute family photo sitting: $250.00 Includes: • Photographer • 2, 8x10 Prints • All images captured digitally on a USB Please note, an additional $100.00 per person charge applies for each individual after the first 6 Come visit us at our store located inside the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise or call 403 522 3653 for bookings and/or more information! additional activities Please see the Concierge team for more suggestions including full details on any of the following activities available to you during your time with us at the Chateau. • • • • • • • • Self-guided historical tours in the Mount Temple Wing Shop in the hotel, the village, and downtown Banff Visit the Parks Canada Visitor Centre in the village for great interpretive displays Relax in our indoor pool, whirlpool, steam room or work out in our fitness center Borrow a board game from the Front Desk Borrow a local area guide book from the Concierge and peruse the text in a comfortable armchair in the Larch Lounge above the main lobby Watch a newly released movie at the Lux Cinema in Banff See a live performance of music or dance at the Banff Centre for Performing Arts in Banff Should you require any further information or arrangements, please do not hesitate to contact the Concierge.
