• McCreery performed a new song that he co-wrote called “Five More Minutes” on the Grand Ole Opry during
CMA Music Festival on June 10, 2016, where he received a standing ovation from the audience. Two weeks
later, the Opry uploaded the performance on YouTube. In less than two month’s time, the performance has been
viewed nearly one million times on YouTube and has been covered by Rolling Stone Country, Taste of Country,
Rare Country, Whiskey Riff, Sounds Like Nashville, One Country, and more. You can watch the performance

Monty Criswell.
• McCreery released his first book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream, on May 3, 2016.
The book is available everywhere books are sold. From growing up inspired by Elvis Presley, to trying out and
ultimately winning “American Idol” in 2011, to launching his country music career, Scotty shares stories and
snapshots from his life, as well as lessons learned, in what he calls a “travelogue – not an autobiography.”
• McCreery completed a 14-city book tour during the first two weeks of May. New York City, Chicago,
Dallas, Ft. Worth, Minneapolis, Nashville, Knoxville, Asheville, and a homecoming in his native Garner, NC
were among the cities on the tour.
• McCreery was voted “Country Music’s Hottest Bachelor” by the readers of NASH Country Weekly
Magazine, as revealed on April 15, 2016. He was also named “Country Music’s Sexiest Man” by the
magazine in November 2015. People.com named him one of “8 Hot Guys on the CMA Awards Red Carpet”
by during the first week of November 2015.
• McCreery was named the “Best American Idol” by the readers of The Los Angeles Times in a Feb. 2016

• McCreery performed on the “American Idol” series finale on April 7, 2016. Paying tribute to one of his
heroes, McCreery performed the Garth Brooks hit “Papa Loved Mama” as the centerpiece of a segment of the
show devoted to country music. Earlier this year, he also appeared on “American Idol” on Feb. 11, 2016,
mentoring and performing duets with two of Season 15’s Top 24 contestants.
• McCreery performed the National Anthem at the American Football Conference (AFC) Divisional Playoff
Game held at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. on Saturday, January 16. The game pitted the home team,
the New England Patriots, against the Kansas City Chiefs, and resulted in a Patriots victory. McCreery is a huge
New England Patriots fan and he was honored when he was asked to perform.
• McCreery received his first BMI Award in 2015 for co-writing “See You Tonight,” which was named One of
the Top 50 Country Songs of 2015. The song is one of his three Platinum-certified singles.
• McCreery was ranked No. 5 on the Forbes list of Top-Earning “American Idols” of 2015, tying with Kelly
Clarkson. The Forbes rankings were: #1 - Adam Lambert, #2 - Carrie Underwood, #3 - Chris Daughtry, #4 Phillip Phillips, and #5 - Scotty McCreery and Kelly Clarkson (tie).
• McCreery has debuted all three of his albums at No. 1 on a Billboard chart.
• McCreery’s most recent single was “Southern Belle.” The song was written by Jason Saenz and Sean
McConnell, and produced by Frank Rogers. The song has had more than one million streams at Spotify and was
selected by actress Reese Witherspoon and music supervisor Anastasia Brown to be on Witherspoon’s inaugural
“Southern Soundcheck” playlist for her DraperJames.com website. The music video for “Southern Belle,”

• McCreery’s sophomore studio album, See You Tonight, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country
Albums Chart when it was released on Oct. 15, 2013. It features two consecutive Top 10 hits: “See You
Tonight” and “Feelin’ It.” The video for “See You Tonight” spent an impressive 11 weeks at No. 1 on GAC’s
fan-voted Top 20 Countdown.
• “See You Tonight” is McCreery’s third RIAA Platinum-certified single and his first as a writer. McCreery
wrote the song with Ashley Gorley and Zach Crowell. Scotty’s other two Platinum-certified singles are “I Love
You This Big” and “The Trouble With Girls.”
• His single “Feelin’ It” was Gold-certified by the RIAA.

Tour in 2015. McCreery is the National Goodwill Ambassador for the 12.14 Foundation, an organization formed with the
goal of building and operating a Performing Arts Centre in Newtown, Conn. to memorialize and honor the
lives lost in the tragic school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary on Dec. 14, 2012.
