German American Social Club of Peekskill, NY Inc. 11 Kramers Pond Road, Putnam Valley, NY 10579 ( Mailing Address: P.O. Box 685, 845-528-5800 Mahopac, NY 10541 ) www.gac1936.com President’s Message With spring approaching, it is time for us to start planning our scheduled events for 2016. Most important, our Fest Committee will be reviewing last year’s events, with the purpose of making a fine tuned machine, run even better. This year marks the 80th year of our club. A spectacular event celebrating this milestone will be held on May 15 t h , 2016 at the Ceola Manor. Those that founded our club in 1936, can only be proud of what they established, and proud of us, for keeping their dream alive. Over the past decades, we have witnessed the passing of many of the German-American Clubs. Because of our dedicated membership, we can take pride in our efforts to keep German Traditions alive in lower NYS. So, on May 15th, come on out, and celebrate our longevity. Our most recent event, our annual Super Bowl Party, was again a huge success. Many thanks to Brian and Donna Traynor, Steve Brunner and his kitchen helpers, and everyone who provided food. As we enter spring, it is vital that you keep informed of various club activities. Please refer to this newsletter or stop by the club and pick up a yearly calendar to stay current.
