BUSINESS VISA REQUIREMENTS WITH LETTER OF INVITATION
This type of visa is permitted only to an applicant who works for a company
registered in Canada, which is involved in a business relationship with a company
in Saudi Arabia and wants to represent the Canadian company.
” - passport, valid for 6 months at least and one copy of picture page, must have
place of birth,
” - passport must have two blank pages side by side
” - one (1) fully completed and signed visa application,
” - two (2) recent passport-style photograph, with plain white background and
name written on back, 40x60mm.
” - The applicant’s sponsor / business partner in Saudi Arabia must provide:
1) An electronic copy of the invitation letter from the Saudi company, approved by
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and addressed to the Consular
Section in Ottawa. Alternatively, you can provide the invitation number and the
Sponsor's Civil Registration number.
2) A copy of the company’s registration certificate.
” - The applicant’s Canadian Employer must provide:
1)A letterhead from a registered company or firm based in Canada addressed to the
Consular Section including the following: The name of the applicant in full,
religion, nationality, passport number, occupation, name of Saudi Arabian
company, the purpose of the trip, length of stay and number of entries. The letter
must be signed and stamped by a Chamber of Commerce or Board of Trade.
(Please see business letter sample in the Forms section)
2) A copy of the Canadian company’s Article of Incorporation (Registration).
” - A photocopy of applicant's airlines reservation or itinerary (proof of purchase
not necessary), SIGNED by the applicant.
” - Non-Canadians must provide a copy of the front and back of their Permanent
Resident card.
CAUTION: The embassy will not issue a visa if your passport bears an Israeli
entry or exit stamps, or evidence of entry or exit from Israel, or a current valid
Saudi visa.
BUSINESS VISA REQUIREMENTS WITH AUTHORIZATION
This type of visa is permitted only to an applicant who does not represent or does
not act on behalf of a company registered in Canada, or for expert or independent
consultants, or women traveling without a mahram wishing to conduct a business
or work visit.
The sponsor in Saudi Arabia must apply for a visa authorization through the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once the application is approved, the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs will send the authorization directly to the Consular Section. The
sponsor must provide the applicant with a copy of the visa slip.
” - passport, valid for 6 months at least and one copy of picture page, must have
place of birth,
” - passport must have two blank pages side by side
” - one (1) fully completed and signed visa application,
” - two (2) recent passport-style photograph, with plain white background and
name written on back, 40x60mm.
” - Either the civil registration number (computer number) or iqama number of the
sponsor and either the application number or visa authorization number.
” - A signed letter addressed to the Consular Section from the applicant or from
the employer (if applicable) including information about the applicant and purpose
of the trip.
” - If you are travelling with your family and they are on your visa authorization,
you need to submit:
1) Proof of relationship to you (a marriage certificate for the spouse, and a birth
certificate for the child indicating name of parents) (Copy only).
2) Copy of POLIO immunization record for children under the age of 15.
” - A photocopy of applicant's airlines reservation or itinerary (proof of purchase
not necessary), SIGNED by the applicant.
” - Non-Canadians must provide a copy of the front and back of their Permanent
Resident card.
EMPLOYMENT VISA REQUIREMENTS
The sponsor in Saudi Arabia must apply for a visa authorization through the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once the application is approved, the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs will send the authorization directly to the Consular Section. The
sponsor must provide the applicant with copy of visa slip.
” - An original and a photocopy of the applicant's passport. The passport validity
should correspond with the duration of the contract, and include the place of birth
and two blank pages side by side.
” - Visa application form (Typed out or hand written in block letters).
” - 3 recent (4x6 cm) passport photographs on a plain white background (write
name on back).
” - An original letter of sponsorship from the Saudi company indicating the
authorization number, the date, and the job title and certified by a Saudi Chamber
of Commerce and the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs OR a copy of an electronic
Power of Attorney with the same above mentioned information.
” - A copy of the work contract.
” - Copy of Saudi company’s registration certificate.
” - Copy of your Canadian Degree / Diploma (two copies certified by the issuing
institution or by a notary as well as authenticated by Canada’s DFAIT). Transcripts
and letter(s) of experience from previous employers. These two do not require
authentication.
” - Written authorization from the applicant allowing the consulate to verify the
information with the educational issuing institutions (please see the Authorization
Form).
” - Foreign Degrees must be certified by the Saudi Embassy in the country of
issue.
” - Completed medical report form and all test results. The report should be certified
by college of physicians of the issuing province (Original Only). You MUST confirm
with your doctor that you have all required test results including (HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis
B and C - please attach these result pages to the back of the medical report). If any of the
4 results are positive+, your doctor must provide a typed explanation of why they are
positive. (If medical report is done outside of Canada, it must be authenticated by the
Saudi Arabian Embassy in that country. If the medical report is issued in Saudi Arabia it
must be authenticated by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia).
” - Police certificate. This can be obtained online at www.reliabilityscreening.com
” - If applicant previously worked in Saudi Arabia, the original and one copy of
the letter of release must be attached.
” - Non-Canadian applicants must submit a copy of their valid residency permit
(permanent resident card). (Send only copy of front and back of the PR card).
” - A photocopy of applicant's airlines reservation or itinerary (proof of purchase
not necessary), SIGNED by the applicant.
OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT INVITATION VISA
Your sponsor in Saudi Arabia must apply for a visa authorization through the
Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once the request is granted, the MFA will send
the authorization directly to the Saudi Embassy. Your sponsor must provide you
with the authorization copy of the visa slip
” - passport, valid for 6 months at least and one copy of picture page, must have
place of birth,
” - passport must have two blank pages side by side.
” - one (1) fully completed and signed visa application.
” - two (2) recent passport-style photograph, with plain white background and
name written on back, 40x60mm..
” - Letter addressed to the Consular section from your Canadian firm with
information about the applicant and purpose of the trip, signed and stamped by
your company.
” - A photocopy of applicant's airlines reservation or itinerary (proof of purchase
not necessary), SIGNED by the applicant.
” - Non-Canadians must provide a copy of the front and back of their Permanent
Resident card.

RESIDENCY VISA
The sponsor in Saudi Arabia must apply for a visa authorization through the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once the application is approved, the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs will send the authorization directly to the Consular Section. The
sponsor must provide the applicant with copy of visa slip.
” - An original and a photocopy of the applicant's passport. The passport validity
should correspond with the duration of the contract, and include the place of birth
and two blank pages side by side.
” - Visa application form (Typed out or hand written in block letters).
” - 3 recent (4x6 cm) passport photographs on a plain white background (write
name on back).
” - Proof of relationship to the sponsor (a marriage certificate for the wife and a
birth certificate for a child indicating name of both parents (Copy Only).
- Non-Canadian applicants must submit a copy of their valid residency permit
(permanent resident card). (Send only copy of front and back of the PR card).

” - Copy of Residency permit of the sponsor (IQAMA) and a Letter from the
sponsor indicating the authorization number, the date and the names of applicants.
” - For residency visa applicants over 16 years old, the following are required:
*Completed medical report form and all test results. The report should be certified
by college of physicians of the issuing province (Original Only). You MUST
confirm with your doctor that you have all required test results including (HIV,
Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C - please attach these result pages to the back of the
medical report). If any of the 4 results are positive+, your doctor must provide a
typed explanation of why they are positive. (If medical report is done outside of
Canada, it must be authenticated by the Saudi Arabian Embassy in that country. If
the medical report is issued in Saudi Arabia it must be authenticated by The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia).

” - If applicant is a female, 18 years of age or older, going under her father's
Iqama, she must submit a letter stating that she is single.
INVESTOR VISA
The sponsor in Saudi Arabia must apply for a visa authorization through the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once the request is granted, the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs will send the authorization directly to the Consulate. The sponsor must
provide the applicant with the authorization date and number. The applicant must
verify that his authorization number has been received by the consular section.
Please provide the visa slip.
” - An original and a photocopy of the applicant's passport. The passport validity
should correspond with the duration of the contract, and include the place of birth
and two blank pages side by side.
” - Visa application form (Typed out or hand written in block letters).
” - 3 recent (4x6 cm) passport photographs on a plain white background (write
name on back).
” - Copy of investor's status certificate from SAGIA.
” - Written authorization from the applicant allowing the consulate to verify the
information provided (please see the Authorization Form).
” - Completed medical report form and all test results. The report should be certified
by college of physicians of the issuing province (Original Only). You MUST confirm
with your doctor that you have all required test results including (HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis
B and C - please attach these result pages to the back of the medical report). If any of the
4 results are positive+, your doctor must provide a typed explanation of why they are

FAMILY VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR SAUDI ARABIA
The sponsor in Saudi Arabia must apply for a visa authorization through the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once the application is approved, the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs will send the authorization directly to the Consular Section. The
sponsor must provide the applicant with copy of visa slip.

place of birth. If children accompanying on the same passport, pictures and names
of all members must be added on the passport by the proper legal authorities.

” - one (1) fully completed and signed visa application.

” - Proof of relationship to the sponsor (a marriage certificate for the spouse, and a

is traveling alone with minor children.

Resident card.
NEW BORN BABY VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR SAUDI ARABIA
” - passport, valid for 6 months at least and one copy of picture page, must have
place of birth.
” - passport must have two blank pages side by side.
” - one (1) fully completed and signed visa application.
” - two (2) recent passport-style photograph, with plain white background and
name written on back,
” - Original and one copy of the birth certificate indicating the names of the
mother and the father.
” - Copy of the residency permit (IQAMA) of both parents.
” - Letter from the Saudi sponsor certified by a Saudi Chamber of Commerce
confirming the employment of either parent, job title, residency permit number and
expiry date, and indicating that the sponsor has no objection child residing in Saudi
Arabia.
” - Covering letter requesting the visa from the Consular Section
” - Original passport of the mother, and one copy.
” - Copy of the father's passport.
” - A photocopy confirmed airlines reservations must be submitted along with the
application, SIGNED by the applicant.

I, the undersigned, hereby agree to have my fingerprints & iris data (biometrics) captured as part
of the application procedure for an entry visa to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I further agree

1. If granted the visa I shall abide by all the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia and respect the Islamic customs and traditions of it’s people.
2. I am aware that all alcoholic beverages, narcotics and other illegal drugs.
Pornographic materials or publications, which violate the social norms of decency and all other
publications which are disrespectful of any religious belief or political orientation, are prohibited
and shall not be brought into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
3. I am also fully aware that the crime of smuggling narcotics and other illegal drugs into
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is punishable by the death penalty.
4. I have never been removed, excluded or deported from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
or from any other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member state or charged with violation of
any law or regulation thereof.

engagement in prohibited activities such as the activities mentioned herein or in the entry visa
