specialized in plastic injection.
Founded in 1955 by Charles Manni, the Group designs,
develops and manufactures parts and complete systems
for vehicle Body and Engine. Today it reports a
revenue of more than 734 million euros.

More than 400 engineers and technicians work
with our Customers in simultaneous engineering
worldwide.
Mecaplast Group develops innovative solutions
to reduce the weight of its parts, their costs and
use recycled material.
TESTING AND VALIDATION FACILITIES
INDUSTRIAL RESOURCES
Mecaplast Group has 3 Skills Centers, 1 Acoustic
Center and 5 Technical Centers worldwide,
including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and full
equipped laboratories to validate the robustness
of the design.
Our Centers are fully dedicated to the design and
development of systems and tooling design, as
well as driving Innovation projects.
Apart from plastic injection, the Group is
mastering numerous technologies for processing,
assembling and decorating plastics. We strive
towards the optimization of our production
resources with a constant focus on quality and
progress.
CO2 & WEIGHT REDUCTION
CLEANNESS
75% of our Innovation projects are linked to CO2
& weight reduction. We propose oil separation
with coalescent system, variable air intake
manifold, piloted thermostatic water outlet,
aerodynamical components like spoiler, air guide,
air convergent. The search for solutions that
reduce the weight of our parts is the
fundamental priority for Mecaplast. We achieve
this through new materials, injection process
improvement and a « metal to plastic » approach.
New assembly process (Laser & Infrared welding
(Freeweld®)), clean room assembly.
DESIGN & CONFORT
To match the drivers’ needs, we focus on noise
reduction, personalization and warm ambience
feeling.
TRUCK
Mecaplast develops innovative storages, new
architecture and new material/process.
HYBRID & ELECTRICAL TREND
Mecaplast is already a major supplier of electrical
parts and involved in the development of battery
racks in plastic (leader of the collaborative
OPERA4FEV project).

From design to the end-of-life of its products,
Mecaplast Group:
„contributes to reducing C02 emissions by
proposing solutions for vehicle weight reduction
and engine performance optimization.
„uses recycled materials derived from the recovery
of automotive wastes. The Group also strives
towards the use of raw material.
„designs products from an environmental
perspective by ensuring easy disassembly of
parts, by reducing the number of components
and by supplying single material products.
„complies with the European Directive on
end-of-life vehicles (2000/53/CE), which
requires that all vehicles are free from heavy
metals, as well as the European REACH regulation
(Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and
Restriction of Chemicals) which aims to protect
the health of Consumers and the environment from
the risks related to the use of toxic chemicals.
