DAYS ONE AND TWO –
Arrive New Orleans with Dinner
Our Southern adventure begins with a welcome dinner and
overnight in Missouri before arriving at our New Orleans hotel.
Dinner tonight is in the historic French Quarter at the Crescent
City Brewhouse, featuring live jazz and traditional New Orleans dishes served in a casual and fun atmosphere.

DAY THREE – National WWII Museum
and New Orleans School of Cooking
We begin with a narrated tour of the Big Easy with a local guide
to see historic Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, the Garden
District and the historic French Quarter. Enjoy free time on
own in the “Quarter” for lunch or maybe some beignets and
coffee at Café du Monde. Later, we visit the National WWII
Museum, which focuses on the contribution made by the U.S.
in the victory by the Allies in World War II, particularly the
Battle of Normandy. See the permanent galleries The Home
Front, Planning for D-Day and The D-Day Beaches along with
the atrium with its WWII aircraft. Tonight, the flavors of the
region come alive in a fun and interactive experience at the
New Orleans School of Cooking with a meal of local cuisine.

DAY FOUR – Historic Lake Charles
and the Isle of Capri Resort
Leaving New Orleans this morning we travel west to the city
of Lake Charles where a local guide takes us through the Charpentier Historic District. On the National Register of Historic
Places, the district is awash with houses featuring turrets, towers, gables, leaded glass and gingerbread accents. At the Mardi
Gras Museum, see the largest Mardi Gras costume display in

Duck Commander Store
the world before designing your own King Cake. Who will find
the baby? Then, Lake Charles’ own Diamond Dancers treat us
to an exciting and energetic dance performance of numbers
from All That Jazz to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Tonight, dinner
is at LeBleu’s Landing, a local favorite with a rich history specializing in tasty regional cuisine served in a friendly atmosphere. Breakfast and dinner
DAY FIVE – Creole Nature Trail Tour
All American Road
Today a local guide takes us along the coastal wetlands of the
Creole Nature Trail All American Road. We visit the Cameron
Prairie Visitor Center and follow the Pintail Wildlife Drive in
search of waterfowl, turtles and alligators. At Jetty Pier Park we
enjoy our box lunches and see the many tankers, freighters and
fishing vessels plying the Calcasieu Channel. While crossing
the channel by ferry, be on the lookout for porpoises. We stop
at Holly Beach to get the sand between our toes or to do some
shelling, followed by a stroll on the Wetland Walkway through
the marsh. Tonight, enjoy dinner and the evening on your own
at our wonderful Casino Hotel. Breakfast and lunch

and the Lorraine Motel. Then we tour the Gibson Guitar Factory where skilled craftsmen create some of the finest guitars
in the world. Tonight, dinner is at Alfred’s on Beale, a Memphis

DAY EIGHT – Our Journey Home
We depart this morning bound for home. Arrive this evening
filled with wonderful memories of the many diverse flavors of

DAY SIX – Duck Commander Warehouse and Store
Depart Lake Charles today and make a stop at the town of West
Monroe, home to the lovable characters of TV’s Duck Dynasty
program, the Robertsons. We visit the Duck Commander Warehouse and Store before continuing to West Memphis. Breakfast
DAY SEVEN – Graceland and Memphis
This morning, we visit Elvis’ 14-acre estate, Graceland. See the
living rooms, music room and “jungle” den along with Elvis’
gold records, awards and costumes. A local guide then joins us
for a narrated tour of Memphis to see Beale Street, Cotton Row
