1. Department of Urology has organised operative workshop in Pediatric Urology at Goa Medical
College in 7`h Oct'09.

Transplant & Medical Education in Oct'2009 and Nov'2009 respectively.

Department of Urology Goa Medical College has been accepted for publicati on in International
Journal "UROTODAY" in April'2012.
All 10 papers / posters presented at National conference USICON '2012 have been published in
Indian Journal of Urology.
8. Department of Urology performed the 1st Renal Transplant in State of Goa on 15 `h Oct'201 1.
Till date 3 renal transplants have been successfully performed by the Department.
9. Dr. Pankaj Chari, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Urology, has completed certificate
training course as transplant coordinator in Bangalore in August' 2011.
Three papers from Department of Urology have been published in the "GOMECO Journal of
Medicine", Vol. I issue I July 2012.
Besides this, Dr. Madhumohan Prabhudessai, Hon. Professor and Head, Department of
Urology, has 06 international and 10 national journal publications to his credit.
The visiting consultants, namely, Dr. H.M. Punjani, Dr. Umesh Oza and Dr. S.W.Thatte are
senior renowned postgraduate teachers in Urology at Mumbai University. They all have numerous
national and international publications to their credit and have been recipients of various

1. In the 1st MBBS examination held in July 2013, total 149 students appeared out of which 137
declared successful and the passing percentage was 91.94 %.
2. In the 2nd MBBS examination held in January 2013, total 100 students appeared out of
