What is Programs on the Go?
Programs on the Go (POGs) are programs that your troop, group, or service unit can
request and schedule at a time and date that work for you. Most POGs have a Girl Scout
Leadership Experience (GSLE) link that helps girls work toward a badge or other reward.
What are the group size requirements?
You need a minimum of 10 girls to hold a POG. If your troop or group is smaller than 10
girls, try contacting other troops or groups or your Service Unit Manager, or consider
attending a council program.
Our programs are designed for 10 or more girls, so if your troop or group is not large
enough, the girls will not get the same quality of experience. For this reason, we cannot
accept groups smaller than 10.
How does it work?
When your troop or group decides to request a POG, follow these steps:
1. Decide which POG from those listed on the next page you want to request.
2. Pick three dates and times that will work and are at least 30 days
away from your request date.
3. Fill out the Programs on the Go Request Form (electronic or paper version) found at https://gsoh.org/camps/programs-on-the-go/
4. After receiving your form, the Program Administrative Coordinator
will contact you to complete your request.
What happens the day of the POG?
If you have requested an “Anyone, Anywhere” POG, a Program Facilitator will arrive at
your agreed upon location and provide the program for your group. If you have requested
a “Join Us at Camp” or “Skill Builders” POG, you will travel to your selected location where
a Program Facilitator will meet you and provide the program.
What is DIY-Style?
Pick up a kit from a council office and complete the course on your own time.
Kits can be reserved using the same process as Programs on the Go and must be
returned within two weeks of checkout.
