During the production process, many components are built outside of the boat and installed before the deck is secured to the hull. This allows for a far more precise
installation of items like head units and galley modules. Performance is another important aspect of the Sport Yacht line-up. Each and every model comes standard
with electronic throttle and shift.
All Sport Yachts can be equipped
with optional joystick docking from
either Mercury or Volvo. These systems

Monterey’s design team has over 100 years of combined knowledge in the boating industry. We combine traditional lines with a European flair, and our design and development
process is unmatched. Monterey’s team is armed with the most sophisticated software and technology. Our development process is more involved that most manufacturers.
Once a design is finalized, our team creates a full-scale model of the boat, allowing us to get a real-world look at performance, functionality and ease of assembly. Next a
pre-production prototype is built. The prototype is put through rigorous tests which not only involve Monterey, but also our engine manufacturing partners. While new models are
a major focus for our Design and Development team, they also continually work to improve on existing models. Every year we introduce changes to our existing line up that keep

PRODUCTION: Monterey employs only the most talented and experienced production personnel in the industry. Their dedication to detail and commitment to excellence
help make us the best boat builder in the industry. Our proven production processes and dedication to quality keep us at the very front of the industry. Our production facilities
incorporate a linear production process similar to automotive production lines. Our boats are assembled in stages, and until the quality control department has inspected and
signed off on each stage, a boat cannot move forward. This ensures that every boat is checked thoroughly inside and out. We use a system of roll-over deck dollies that
pull the hulls and decks from the molds at strategic points, significantly reducing the stress and maintaining the integrity of the mold. Other manufacturers pull the hulls and
decks out at a few stressful points, which can cause binding and cracking, contributing to significant repairs down the road. At the final production stage, we test each boat in
one of our four test tanks and use simulated rain showers to detect any leaks. Our stockroom team employs a just-in-time ordering process. This means that the materials needed
to assemble your boat are ordered only when the boat begins production, reducing the
