FAREWELL, MY FRIENDS-I have had the delightfully good fortune of being able to spend the last 37 years surrounded by precious children and the beautiful people who have chosen to devote their careers to making them feel special and helping them to believe in themselves and to experience the joy of learning. Thank you, parents, for trusting me with your children. I have a lifetime of special memories and will treasure them as I have these wonderful little people. RETIREMENT / CHAPTER TWO — it is bittersweet as I send out this last newsletter for Horace Elementary. I will miss working with the students, parents, staff and community. I have gained so much from many of you. Thank you! I am not saying goodbye but see you later. I plan to be in from time to time to check up on my little ones. I leave you in very good hands, so please make welcome from our very own community, Kristi Sauvageau. She is currently administrative assistant for Westside Elementary. She will be a wonderful partner for your new principal Mr. Markusen which you will also love. I have worked with him at Cheney Middle School and he will be a great asset to Horace Elementary and the future of West Fargo School District. I leave you with these words. “I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.” (Author unknown) Going forth joyfully, Ava Vranish MEDICATIONS / LOST & FOUND — Please remember if your child has any medications at the office it needs to be picked up by parents by JUNE 2 or they will be thrown away.
