Aqua Medic GmbH was founded more than 25 years ago.
At the beginning we started with engineering of systems for use in aqua culture, however other customer groups such as pet shops, zoos and institutes quickly became our customers.
From the beginning, we have relied on our own developments and that’s why we are always able to
offer innovative products direct to the market.
Meanwhile the global market is served by our production sites in Europe and Asia. We now deliver
our products into around 60 countries.
At our headquarters in Germany we have a 12,000 m² of production and warehousing, we produce
our customized filter systems for use in the professional sector at this site.
In our German headquarters we also plan and produce special aquaria and larger systems are premounted, final on-site assembly at our customer’s facilities is possible.

SEA SALT
Aqua Medic sea salt has been used for many
years successfully in public aquaria, zoos, institutions and private aquaria. It is produced in
Germany, blended from chemically pure raw
materials, continuously quality controlled. We
offer two standard blends:
Aqua Medic sea salt
is to be prepared with tap water. This salt has
a relatively small content of calcium and carbonate hardness so that it can be prepared even
with harder tap water, and there will still be no
precipitations. It can and is also used in large
aquaria and shark basins.
Reef Salt
can be prepared with desalinated water (e. g.
from a reverse osmosis unit)

The salt can be ready blended or even layered
for a more cost effective option, and then the
mixing process is carried out in your preparation container. Also special sizes of packaging
are possible; preparation containers are also
available from us.
Please Note:
We also offer sea salt blends without NaCl.
It can save considerable cost if you would be
able to add NaCl yourself.

PROTEIN SKIMMERS

PROTEIN SKIMMERS
Skimmers for aquaria from 1,500 – 5,000 l
The skimmer 5000 series were developed for larger aquaria. The reaction pipe has a diameter of
200 mm. A separate pump (2,000 – 3,500 l/h) is required for the water supply, e. g. Ocean Runner
OR 3500 or Eco Runner 3700. The new venturi pumps of our Eco Runner series with air wheel have

Powerful skimmer for the sump
We offer the aCone skimmer in two different sizes, aCone 1.5 for aquaria up to 1,500 litres, aCone
3.0 for aquaria up to 2,500 litres. The ECO Runner venturi pumps including air wheel are very quiet in
operation coupled with high air capacity. aCone skimmer have to be placed in a filter tank. No additional pump for the water supply is required.

PROTEIN SKIMMERS
For salt water aquaria from 250 – 1,500 litres
The motor-driven skimmers of the Blue series are highly efficient and have low power consumption.
This is due to the venturi pump which is equipped with a mesh wheel. This will provide a large amount
of air and optimum bubble structure. The long-lasting ceramic axles and bearings provide for brilliant
near silent performance. The special flow of water and a conical foam cup ensure a high concentrate
of skimming, whereas the foam production can be easily adjusted. No air noises will arise due to the
supplied silencer. Due to the ultrasonically welded housing of these skimmers, they are of a very high
quality. The skimmers of the Blue series can be integrated in nearly every salt water system.

OZONE
Our ozone generators prevent reliably the yellow colouring of the water and the water becomes
crystal clear. Ozone improves the efficiency of protein skimming and raises the redox potential. The
bacterial load of water will be reduced and therefore, fish diseases prevented. Furthermore, the
decomposition of toxic nitrite is enhanced. Various models are available with capacities from 25 mg
– 400 g/h. For fresh and salt water.

UV WATER CLARIFIER
Aqua Medic water clarifiers are suitable for fresh and salt water aquaria. Helix Max can eliminate
single cell algaes giving crystal clear water in aquaria. The water is directed in a spiral path around
the quartz tube resulting in more efficient use of the UV radiation than in standard units.
The inlet and outlet fittings can be rotated through 360° for easy mounting at any angle.
All Aqua Medic UV clarifiers have electronic ballasts.
Spare lamps are available from stock.
UV-C professional
Modular UV-C system.
This system consists of modules with 80
Watt Lamps.
The housing consists of solid blue PVC tubes.
The electronic ballast is placed in a switchbox together with an hour meter.

LIGHT
Aqua Medic has produced lighting systems for many years. In addition to the proven metal halide
lamps and T5 fluorescent tubes, now we also supply LED lamps.
Especially in this range of products, the development continues and more products will follow in the
coming months.
LEDspot
The LEDspot is supplied with a high Power LED chip with a power off 200 watts. It is available in 3
colour temperatures: daylight (6000K), 12000K and blue (20000K). The light output reached 100
lumen/watt or 20000 lumen for the 200 W chip. The light is supplied with an IP65 protected dimmable ballast. It can be dimmed with PWM dimmers.
